GeneralNonsense.net is a light-hearted, [almost] happy-go-lucky social network with people seeking to unwind. This website is brought to you from the house of TechPowerUp!, your favorite computer enthusiast portal. Our approach towards GeneralNonsense.net is, and always will be, to make you feel as comfortable as we can, while you socialize with others in the community. Please keep these simple guidelines in mind:

Please don't mean offense - it's fun to twist and turn your words as you make posts, or put your point forward, but don't offend others as you do so. Make it amply clear you don't mean offense when you're pulling someone's leg (or arms, if they don't have them (no offense)). Apply the same self-policing to ward-off sexist, racist, or offensive posts.
Keep the atmosphere clean - the "summer, 6:00 AM, stroll in the park" atmosphere is the most pleasant. Try to recreate that. Before getting angry at others, ask yourself if it's worth it. Our best bet is it probably isn't.
Stay on right side of the [real] law - the law of your land probably prohibits piracy (of content and software), drug-abuse, etc., so do we. Please don't post anything that could perpetrate or propagate piracy, or drug-abuse. No nudity or pornography either.

Keeping in tune with these rules, each sub-forum further has its own set of rules specific to its content. Be sure to read them.
