Coffees create and cure headache?

For some reason, if I stopped drinking coffe for a day, im always get a headache, and if i drink a coffe it will be cured. :confused: :eek:

I drink coffee only at work, extremely rarely at home. But I'm one of those humans that can drink one litre of black coffee and go right to sleep.

Yup. The explanation I heard is that caffeine constricts the arteries in your brain so when you stop, they dilate and that's what causes the headache. Supposedly this kind of vascular dilation is also what causes a hangover.

I've found that no amount of ibuprofen will get rid of a caffeine withdrawal headache. It's one of those 'hair of the dog' situations. You just have to ween yourself off of it by cutting back over the course of a day or 2.

I've tried replacing coffee with tea but that just don't cut it - even though it has some caffeine and other vasoconstrictors like theophyline and theobromine.

If you ever need surgery, quit ahead of time to make post-op recovery less painful.

You've developed tolorance to caffeine. Try no coffee for a week and bam: headache. XD
