No, those people were already lowlives to begin with, or are crazy addicted. Doing coke doesn't make you steal, or rat people out, or anything like that. If you do those things while on coke, you would do it sober as well.

Bullshit. Have you done coke? What do you know about it? I've done it extensively, and never did anything of that nature, nor have many of my friends. All those "friends" we had that did crap like that while on coke were selfish assholes before ever trying coke. It does not turn anyone into a monster. They were a monster before doing it, they just hid it better.

I have no problems with warning him about the dangers of drugs and drug abusers. I learned it the hard way myself.

If you don't know the person to begin with, you need to be careful.

I have too, and every single one of those people that "turned" into monsters were assholes to begin with. I don't know, maybe I'm more sensitive to noticing assholes when they're sober than most people, but everyone that I know that was a decent human prior to doing coke, remained a decent human afterwards.

And while I was never fully addicted to coke, I was majorly addicted to heroin, so I know a bit about addiction myself.

Besides, the OP was in a party situation, not a crack house. There are plenty of people who would do coke at parties without becoming addicts, so if you want to look at it from that angle, the chances of them being total monsters is even less.

It is a dangerous drug that's potentially addictive and even fatal. Those are indeed facts, and the possible consequences should be weighed heavily if anyone wants to try it. But that doesn't make a person that does coke bad automatically.
