I waited all week just for this....Its nothing spectacular like a GT, Carrera or Boardman but I paid £185 for a bike that retailed at £279.

I wonder why they have a disc brake in front and calipers in the back. Disc is the way to go for a mountain bike - right?

If you're going to use it off road or in bad weather (which in England I guess means anytime other than August :D ), I'd get some mud guards. They are light and attach to the fork in front, and the frame in back. Specialized is a brand in the US I used to like, not sure about Europe. I used to like Zefal too.

I used to ride in a local park and got tired of having goose shit kicked up into my face.

already a step a head - got mudguards fitted already, though i dont really intend to use the bike for much offroading. Primary reason behind me getting a bike was for exercise, next was a cheaper alternative to get around london (since their going to be increasing prices again - oh joy) Im probably a lot faster then a bus once ive managed to build up my stamina lol
