Just went and seen this, thought it was a great movie. Pretty gory, very funny, and pretty cool. I would say this is better than any other zombie movie I have seen besides the original Dawn of the Dead.

It is actually funny? I heard rave reviews about Shaun of the Dead and I didn't laugh once. I thought that this one could be REALLY funny, or REALLY bad.

Its not like Shaun of the Dead really. That was more a mock film of every zombie movie made. This is a comedy, but not a mock movie, just happens to be quiet funny. It has some good ups and downs that will keep you thinking and maybe a little angry, then one that will make you a bit sad (or maybe 2 if you really like this person, but I can't spoil lol).
I recommend it, I mean any movie where a mans single motivation to live is to find twinkies (Woodys character not a spoiler really) it don't get much better than that. I don't go to movies looking for issues though, I go to them to enjoy them, so unless something really stands out I don't pick them apart, I just sit back and relax and this is a perfect movie for that.

TO find Shaun of the dead funny you have to understand a lot of the English jokes and phrases, plus mannerisms.

Sweet, sounds like my kind of show.

Yeah, that is what I figured. Not big into british humor anyway.

The Brits have humor? :p
I was working when the movie came out and all my friends went to see it and left me behind. When I get a chance, I'll have to go to the movies alone :(

The English kill zombies in their armoured lorry while eating crisps. USA folk kill zombies in an armored truck while eating french fries. :D

No USA folks kill zombies in a Caddilac Escalade with a plow welded to the front, a number 3 painted on the side, use Banjo's to kill the zombies, and are driven by a hunger of twinkies.

Beyond that, I think zombie movies have to be part comedys. This movie plays out a bit like Dawn of the Dead. I always liked that movie because despite everything bad, those people made the best out of it and had a blast in the mall. In this movie the US is their play ground, and as rule #32 states, The little things matter (you'll see when you watch the movie).

Yeah 28 days later is a good movie, I haven't seen 28 weeks later yet. Still gotta say this is better, and DaMulta, I could so see you playing Woodys role after watching your Mark VIII vids, and seeing your handgun slide show, lol.

So you think you fit Tallahasse's role DaMulta? lol
Like I said though, really good movie, I went to it expecting not much, and walked out very happy having gone to see it.

I wateched 28 days after a few other horror flics and staying up too late, and in the theater, 122" and 5.1 surround freaky good/badness.
I was sort of fucked up after and had to go and turn on lights and wait before doing anything.
