It says next to nothing about the transmission except that it is a 4-speed auto. That's not good...

Yes there are. Just look into places like Performance Automatics or Level 10 Transmissions. In fact, there are more automatic transmissions that handle 1200HP than there are manual transmissions.
At any rate, I must be super jaded anymore, as 1200HP v8's just aren't that special these days. Take 1500 or more from an 8 cyl to impress me.

They are saying that 1200 is on 93 octane, thats a built motor, I would expect with 110 that 1500 wouldnt be an issue at all. I mean when building a motor for that kind of power, you pretty much go balls to the wall, it's not like a 400hp motor where your like "I can skip forged pistons ad a intercooler for now. So I would assume it's built to handle it. Especially looking at some of their build materials, looks like money was no object.

Possibly a stupid question but there appears to be a boat style throttle, is that actually the throttle?

No, it's the gear selector for the auto transmission.
On a different note, I did fail to mention that I do enjoy a good restomod like this. I much prefer restomods over the factory original restorations purists always favor.

Agree 100%, I see people just restoring old cars, ad thats cools, but I don't think I could ever just bring it to factory specs and leave it there. Would have to put my twist on it and give it some power to back up the muscle car name. I'm not a big fan of the exhaust going out through the fender, but otherwise it's a great looking C3.
