Big fan of Yamaha made car motors, they just know what they are doing, having owned 4 SHO's now, I just loved how those sounded, I just found this make sure to listen to the preview.

Sounds so much like being in the interior of a SHO, makes me a bit sad, just an amazing sound that other motors dont seem to give when you get on it, that almost burble like sound when the butterfly valves open up.

The only v6 I like the sound of more than the SHO is the Nissan VQ series.

high-grade engine sound
I had to stop reading there as teh FAIL of this idea is ginormous. It should have been put in Family Guy as a joke instead of a real life thing.
Yamaha makes good amps and decent recievers, speakers suck though.

VQ's seem to be hit or miss, some hear a box of rocks, others really like it, I'm more with the box of rocks. I really like how my 3.8 sounds, but when the Yamahammer was wide open in the SHO, got to say, was just more enjoyable. My friends knew when I was around, just because nothing else sounded like it.

I didnt read any of it, I just listened to it, I don't care how they reason with it, it sounds awesome.

It's not the exhaust sound I like so much from SHO's, its the engine sound, being in the car or in front of it. I know you've heard them before, but a lot of people are clueless as to what a SHO is beyond the new one.

The VQ's with exhaust sound nice, but I just love the sound with the secondaries are open, you can hear that LF-A same burble in the SHO vid, just too sexy.

Oh, you're talking the intake noise. Best car I ever heard on the front is the 2ZZ-GE out of the 7th gen Celica GTS's. Sounded like a Formula 1 car with a CAI on them.

I haven't ever got to hear one of them, theres one for sale I keep seeing in my college parking lot, always been tempted to look at the price, I'm sure it would be an entertaining light car. I was gonna ask if Yamaha designed the head, but then looking around, seems Yamaha designed that whole motor, that makes me really want to hear one, I'm sure it sounds great, I was disappointed when I found out Yamaha had nothing to do with the Ecoboost :( They need to make more car motors.

My Yamaha acoustic > your Yamaha acoustics.
Guitars are great and all, but I like the sounds of a motor more, I drove my SHO for almost 2 years without a radio (some assholes stole it), good thing I loved how it sounded.

I had a 2000, and believe it or not, the intake was as loud as the exhaust on the big cams. I loved tunnels in that car. Cruise in at 70mph, drop it from 6 to 3, and hammer on it with the windows down.
When I turboed it, it lost some of that great sound, but then again, the turbo itself has it's own sweet sound. lol.

Yeah, FI is sweet and all, but it just kills some motors. Like my 3.8, whatever, the SC just helps it sound better, but my SHO, I don't know if I ever could have made that step.
