He's not. Everyone in the south worships him as if he were anything more than a simplistic, generic metal guitarist simply because of his death. He was however, a decent songwriter. There are FAR better writers and musicians out there though.

Yep, there are better, but the problem is, many of them suck at making music you actually want to listen to.

Tbh, the only Dimebag work I liked was Pantera.

However, most of these musicians who "suck at making music you actually want to listen to" do not make music for you to listen. If you like it, good, if you don't...to bad. :p
