i think this is the cause of my depression lately
A lot of girls I know do Power Yoga, as far as I could gather it works out pretty well. You might have to search around a bit to find out of what it actually consists, this Power Yoga, I just know it is based upon the repetition of brief movements or something. Like you're doing chin-ups, but you only move like a few inch, but repeat that move a hundred times. Something like that.
And don't eat less, thats bad. Eat other, healthier stuff. Instead of a bucket of KFC, a bucket of asparagus or something :D No really, eating less is not the right path. ESPECIALLY when you work out, your body NEEDS the energy delivered by food.

Any alternatives for the swimming part? Its hard to swim in ice, and the next indoor pool is pretty far away.

One thing you can do is what I do sometimes. Buy a big bag of mixed, frozen vegetables, steam them, and put some salts and seasonings on them. It's a good amount of food yet healthy and it actually is pretty good assuming you like vegetables.

I used to have horrible acne. I went from:

My trick? Change your pillowcase EVERY night. Don't pick or touch at zits, use shampoo for oily hair, no lotion on the face or anything. Your skin will adjust. If you have any problem areas, smear a mixture of water and mentadent (both colors of paste) toothepaste on them EVERY night and let them dry before bed.
You'll probably wanna buy a lot of pillowcases, but now I have a zit maybe once a month at most.

I can almost guarantee that it's your soap that is causing the acne. I am a soap maker, so I know what I am talking about. The soaps that you buy in store are crap, they are made with animal fat and harsh chemicals that dry your skin out. The soap that I make is made with a 100% vegetable base.
Try a natural soap, see if it helps. They can be bought at any health food store, or from me at www.loreleinaturals.com

My advice with your skin is go to your doctor and see what he/she says i had problems with face in that a few years ago got very irritated and dry. Doc reccomended me use a special cream and it cleared my skin right up and i dont use soap at all on face.
As for food id say the same as what mrcl said dont eat less just try and change your diet over time i know its difficult with you not able to cook for yourself but its something looking into. Im sure there would have to be some healthy eating places around town even though it may cost more its better in the long run.

Yep, different water can cause the acne too, but I am willing to be that it's softer and the soap film is still on you, thus causing the increase. Soft water has a tendency to break my face out.

Crunches and push ups are good, but they won't kill the depression. What you need to do is some aerobic activity. I have my bike on a trainer in the winter months (like a stationary bike). I ride it 4 days out of the week for about 50 minutes each time full out. This kills the depression and getting sweaty is great for you. All of the toxins and other garbage come out in your sweat. This will help you feel better overall and since you'll be sweating out all the nasty stuff that makes skin blemishes, it will help clear that up too. The toughest part is starting, just make yourself a schedule and stick to it. Eat healthy. Lots of vegetables, lean protien and a moderate amount of complex carbs. No alcohol, no greasy food, no sweets.

You look great to me.
Anyway, I find these exercises (http://mayoclinic.com/health/core-strength/SM00047) very good to tone up if you think you need that.
About the acne, ironically drinking a lot of water should help clear your skin. Perhaps you could buy bottled water? (Or get PP's mum to buy it for you? ;))

Spots are caused by infected hair follicles. EVERYONE has hair on their face, those really little fine hairs? You see them? They get infected, easy answer. WASH your face with hot water (as hot as you can stand) as often as you can.

Yeah don't use soap it causes acne. Also I've got some bad acne now, I just wash it with water that's all.
Try running that is good physically and emotionally.

Try the pillowcase idea too. You sweat and drool in your sleep and if you lay your head on that surface more than once, the heat and moisture become a breeding ground for bacteria.

As an ex ACE and NSCA certified personal trainer, I'll say this. Keep it simple. Get about an hour of intense cardio everyday doing something you enjoy. Also include some resistance training if you are able. Modified push ups, chin up and dips are easy and require no equipment. DON'T waste time on ab work. Most everyone has nice abs under layers of fat since we use our core muscles for everything. You have to burn the fat over the muscle to see it. That takes expending more calories than you take in every day.

So people know, if anyone thinks drugs might help with their depression, St. John's Wort is sold over the counter in the U.S. It's commonly prescribed by doctors in some other countries. Drugs are usually a last resort, but just sayin'.
And since you mentioned yoga...
I've promoted it here and there on here, so here's some more. If this doesn't make you feel a little something, you may be in need of a heart transplant.

Keep your diet intake normal and then workout. Your body needs proteins to burn fat and replace it with leaner muscle. Starving yourself doesn't help. Again, choose the right (protein-rich + fat-free) diet.

Not only does starving not help, it will be conterproductive. You will cause "muscle wasting". Starving bodies go into survival mode, and will try to use muscle energy to sustain itself before it will pull from fat storage. So, while you lose weight, you will lose much of the wrong kind of weight. This will affect your appearance too.

cardio and eating healthy is definitely the best solution to lose weight, which is what i have been doing for past 2-3months and i feel great.
I used to weigh 14 stones which is 196lb (fat sh*t yeah XD) i am around 5.7-5.10 tall
now i weigh 13 stones which is 182lb thats a pretty good achievement in my opinion.
What i do right now is 20-30 minute run and then i go to light weights muscle training since my goal is to get slimmed and toned, and then i do ab training and then cross trainer for 15 minutes.
Also try replace biscuits and stuff with water and fruit, occasionally you can eat some.
