My first preference goes to luxury VIP-type cars... (with the exception of pope-mobiles ;))
Second preference to bulky 4x4's... :D

Supra is only noteworthy if $100,000+ was pumped into it aftermarket (and it is still ugly on the outside). All other cars in this thread are natural (factory sexy). You know, no face lifts, boob jobs, and other plastic surgeries that turn sexy into fugly. ;)

If I wanted something like a Supra that is naturally sexy (in a rip your head off kind of way), I'd get this:

Now for the best family car ever built:

Also, GTR has no manual transmission and only wins from a dead stop against the Corvette.
Subaru WRX is nothing special, for the same price you can buy a Camaro and not look like a boy racer. The Honda NSX?

It's a Honda, 'nuff said.

Too bad you posted the most riced out Supra ever, just with triple black and call it a day, they are good looking cars, but not when they are taken from F&F and I still compare the LS series with the 2JZ anyday of the week.

I'm not a big Mustang fan myself, the Elanor clones look nice, but every single person on earth wants one or wants to copy one, just over done. If I was going to buy a Mustang it would be a 69 or a 70, preferably a Boss, and if it wasn't I would have to clone it I think, they just look so sexy.

It's the Supra from the first Fast and Furious movie. That automatically makes it a total fail.

Saw a Shelby in the OP, I was always partial to the '65 GT350R, personally.

You can get any Mustang and put a Boss 302 in it. The only thing that makes it Boss is the Boss branded engine.

Correct, I like how the Boss's are styled. If I had a Mustang it would most likely demolish what a stock Boss could do anyways, I'm not much for keeping anything stock, to modify a Boss would be a tragedy. But it's not really a Boss branded engine, the 302 came in other Mustangs, and the 429 Cobra Jet did too.

The one in my pic has some different kits but thats aftermarket that the guy put on.

And yes, there is a Boss 302, and standard 302. The Boss 302 had different heads than the standard 302 as well as the CJ/Boss (nascar) 429 and Ford 429. The real performance monster was the Shelby 427 though.

Yeah Ford has many special models for the Mustangs back then, minor differences, but it's the color/stripe combos that are crazy on the Boss's, like baby blue or orange, that the other ones don't have that I like.

Either way, to buy a real Boss and swap out factory parts would be a shame. Mach's are much more common, but a base Stang would be the way I would go. The with probably orange and the boss striping.

PP Mguire
12-24-2009, 09:51 AM
Machs are less common than base stangs actually and are actually a completely different car. I prefer them because of this. Its not everyday you drive down the road and see one in nice condition whereas i see alot of nice resto 67s and 68s like my parents.

Btw, the Boss 302 was brought back for the newer Mustangs. I just dont think they call them "Boss" anymore.

But yea your right. THe Boss cars usually had more exotic color schemes but that might have been trying to copy Euro cars of the day. Not sure.

A 69 Boss doesn't have the "vents" in the rear quarter. There were subtle differences aside from the engine.

As far as the boss engine, not only were the heads, cam and intake different, but they also had an entirely different block. Boss 302 blocks are 4 bolt mains, regular 302's are only 2 bolt.

And if a I had a real Boss, I would modify the shit out of it. I don't care about collectability, I care how a car drives and performs.

Oh yeah for sure Mach's or any other special model are more rare than standard stangs. I haven't seen the new Boss, but I hear the 5.0 is back for 2010, so it would be a pretty cool package to put out there.

And if a I had a real Boss, I would modify the shit out of it. I don't care about collectability, I care how a car drives and performs.

I agree with having a car that performs, but the reason I say I wouldn't have a Boss, is because, why go out and waste that much money on a Boss, then tear it apart. You could pick up a base Stang toss in pretty much anything and be faster for 1/10th the cost, and even have it look just like a Boss.

If i wanted to name all the differences i would. And there are also differences in years between the 2 cars besides being a Boss and Mach1. I was just saying they are pretty much the same car.

If I had one, I would probably do the same, just would hold on to all stock parts. But I just would never invest the money to get one, when faster can be made for cheaper and look the same, just like a ZL-1 Vette or Camaro (god I wonder what those cost).
