new tubes or new jacket??

So for some reason - Ive finally just got my Xmas bonus in... it wasnt a lot needless to say but it was still enough for something which I really want & thats where it gets a little difficult...

while I was working I never really did get paid very much I probably woulda got paid a lot more if they didnt tax me £70 each week & also 'steal' £30 off me for public transport to work too not to mention all the other crap like food & drinks n other shit....

Anyhooo....

Ive run into a dilemma - Since i got my bonus in I can either spend £60+ on a set of new guitar tubes which my amp has needed for over 6 months. Or I can buy a jacket which costs about the same but only cuz my aunt gave me a £25 off voucher/coupon & the jacket i want costs £80 (before the voucher)

So their both similarly priced but I dunno which one i want more,

Im leaning towards the jacket but at the same time I cant stand the small 30watt DFX marshall im using now & I love my valveking as much as my ex-gf.

actually honestly speaking....the DFX doesnt sound THAT bad with my guitar lol but its just the £200 pickups that is making the amp sing & its not getting the most out of the guitar - not that I gig much anymore anyway. I dont think the band im involved with will reform...its been 3years already since we last did anything together.

Oh yea go for the jackets. looks badass. And jackets can get you chicks. I've gotten several phone numbers/dates just because I was wearing a classy jacket. Chicks dig jackets. They also dig guitars, but if you find a chick that can tell the difference between tubes, then you've probably got her attention already.

Fuck the tubes, get the jacket, grab an acoustic. Girls don't care what "kind" of guitar it is, just that you can play it. They wont know nor care what kind of tubes you have or how good they sound. In college I rocked out on a freakin 50$ crate practice amp and that was more than enough to convince the ladies. Jackets on the other hand, appeal to something a woman knows: Fashion. Wear the wrong jacket, and you just might be blacklisted by the WWNW (worldwide network of women... trust me, they're all in cahoots. As a matter of fact I may be targeted now for letting you in on its existance)

Heres an update on the jacket - went to the shop, they had it but it looks crap compared to the picture they got on their website & their XL size was a bit 'short' the jacket only reached down above my waist - their XXL however was a lot better but the sleeves were too long & I looked like a drowned rat! walked around the store some more saw a few jackets similar to mine & liked them a bit but I decided not to buy them as the idea was to get something different to my old jacket.

Get something that:

1 leather, suede, or wool outside

2 (heres the important one) fur on the inside. Chicks dig fur. The only kicker is that when its cold she'll want to wear yours (even if she's already got one) so you'll have to freeze your ass off, but she'll feel nice and snuggly in the fur, which is good for you. And make sure when you get back to your place you have the heater turned on full blast, because girls never take off jackets until they're about to die of heat stroke and by that time they'll be wanting to take ALL thier clothes off, not just the jacket.

Oh i've met the ones that do want thier faces melted off. Dated a few, as I am one who likes to have my own face melted off. But nowadays I tend to find that the girls who still enjoy said face melting are usually annoying after awhile. I would say maybe i'm getting too old, but I'm pretty sure you're a bit older than me lol.

The really hot ones though usually prefer acoustic though in my experience.

lol. I'm already settled down, so it doesn't matter on my end. I lost my amp ('69 Fender Princeton 1x10) in a flash flood a few years back in storage in my mother's garage anyway. But he's still just the right age for the girls that like face melting. lol
