I'll be going to the Saint Louis Auto Show next weekend and I'm going to post pictures here. Can anyone think of any specific car they want extra pictures of assuming it's there?

How about some million dollar rides? Some RR's, Bently's, or some Lambo's.
I love my local auto show. It's for classics only so nothing under 25 years is there. :D

I made it and I'm going through my pictures. I didn't take as many as I would have liked because my friends kept pushing me on when I stopped at exhibits. I missed A LOT. Many didn't turn out very well because of the awful lighting of the stadium, crowds, and my lack of time at individual cars.
Still, I have several hundred pictures. I'm not going to post them all so if there is something you want to see more of let me know. Also higher quality pictures are available (RAW, PSD, etc.) if you want a better look at something specific I post.

Apparently Chip Foose worked on this one if anybody is familiar with him. It's pretty uninspired in my opinion though. Looks like something some weekend warrior would do in his garage with off the shelf parts and a MAACO. :p

Man, Foose is slipping. That mustang is terrible.

There's a reason why Foose gets an unreleased car and gets to spin it his own way. I see the Fastback coming out in the full side shot.

Agreed. I just wish that it wasn't such a porker. I mean, the Camaro is always a bigger sports car, but that thing is huge. My mom's 89 Iroc is WAY bigger in frame than my Mustang is, but their weights are close.

Actually, after looking into it, it's such a porker because of parts used on it that are easily removable. Can ditch 25 - 50lbs by rim swap, another 25lb by catback swap, another 15lb by header swap, another 25lbs by flywheel swap (thats a heavy flywheel). It's 3800lbs curb weight stock, which would be around 3600 dry, just those changes drops it under 3500 without having to gut the interior or use Carbon Fiber, and with headers/cat back you gain some power, and ditching 25lbs on the flywheel will pick up the revs same with the massive weight gone from the rims.
I have a feeling those few changes would make a night and day difference on the new Camaros, and they are pretty popular works are already on the way for CF, supposedly the CF door skins cut almost 50lbs a door, then your looking at 3400lbs or less, which is getting pretty darn light.

I have actually heard something more like 75lbs on the cat back. I hear that the stock mufflers are HEAVY. Most Chevy mufflers are overweight, I remember taking them off from my 98 Seville, they were easily 25lbs each.
Even still though, the above mentioned 98 seville had a curb weight of 3800lbs and it's a 4 door luxury car. For a stock Camaro to weigh that, it's insane.

Yeah the numbers on the catback I've heard to be higher, I used mostly conservative numbers on them. It does suck that it's such a porker stock, but it's nice to know that it honestly isn't that hard to ditch weight. Like that Seville for comparison, swapping the mufflers, but then thats pretty much it, you probably couldn't cut as much off elsewhere. I just still can't figure why they have such heavy mufflers...

Oh, the Seville is a stock porker that could be reduced too. The mufflers, the 8 Bose speakers, the power seats weigh nearly 80lbs each. There are ways to get it below 3500lbs, but then it wouldn't be a Cadilalc anymore.

Yeah, can't start gutting interior and keep it a caddy, but I was meaning no interior gutting. I personally don't think I would drive anything gutted, maybe replacing the 2 front seats, but I want something that hauls ass and my family while doing so :p

Gotta say, that Mustang is not an impressive showing by Foose. Yeah, he's the master of small details, but the feel of that car is just bolt-on queen. That's about as anti-foose as I can think of. Bet it's a showcase for some commercialized body kit and accessories line with his name emblazoned all over it.
Has our good buddy Chip sold his soul to corporate profit?

You just have to make sure you get out before dark. You judge whether you have enough time to go to Crown Candy by the angle of the sun.
Nah the area immediately around it isn't too bad you just have to be careful if you get too far away from there, and even then I'm told it's not as bad as it used to be.

It's like two blocks from the ghetto. They are building a new business complex next to it though so I guess they are trying to make the area nicer. The building still has all of the same shit in it.

I went to a car show today downtown. There were some nice cars there, omg. There were at least 30 Ferrari F430s and F360s. There was one black Enzo there. It sounded fucking amazing, possibly straight pipes. There was a nice black Spyker C8. Two '08 and '09 Rolls Royce Phantoms. A few older cars. There was also a really nice Ferrari race car there, one from the 90s. I believe it was a F333 SP, like this:
http://i46.tinypic.com/14ufgr5.jpg
There were like 6 Lamborghinis there unfortunately. One was a Murcielago. There were two regular Gallardos, a Superleggera, and two LP550s.
