It's going to be an offensive game, but I like the Saints. They are better at protecting the quarterback than Indy is. I also think they have the better defense than Indy does.

I agree with you that the Saints have a better Defense, but if it does become an Offensive game, Indy also has a better Offense. I'm thinking Indy on this one.

My heart is with the Saints, but it's hard not to think that Payton will find a way to win.

I'm torn between the two teams.
New Orleans represents to me, that "we can overcome obstacles (Katrina)" mentality, which we all love to root for.
On the other hand though, Peyton Manning is a quarterback of historical proportions enjoying one of his best seasons, using his arm and his "guile". He is in fact a joy to watch.
If New Orleans can get to Manning and treat him like they did Favre then New Orlenas can stay with them offensively and possibly win the game which would be a huge upset.
If they allow Peyton time to analyze and dissect the defense then NO will have to put a ton of points up to stay with Indy.
I just hope it's not a blowout 'cause I'd enjoy a close game no matter who wins.
There's also a sub plot here - Archie Manning played for New Orlenas and his son is Peyton Manning (and I give him credit for admitting to rooting for his son).

Who dat a-goin ta win? My guess is the experts will pick Indy because Manning is in his prime. But that depends if he has time to sit in the pocket and throw the ball. I would like to see New Orleans win. Their defense would have to show up again. I don't think the offense could keep pace with Indy otherwise.
Luck seems to be playing a large role in this season's play off games. New Orleans and Minnesota was a follow the bouncing ball routine. Then who gets a gift from the refs.

Michael-
I found the officiating this year has been really questionable, and would suspect that rules changes may be "in the making".
I love a good upset, and if New Orleans comes off as a liquor swilling bayou bunch that upsets the Colts then I'll think about 'ol Joe Willie Namath and the Jets upset of the Baltimore Colts.........and I will just smile........

What is so incredibly funny is that the Saints shouldn't have even been in the super bowl. The Farve fuckup maneuver in the championship game cost the Vikings the game.

Oh, I was never so glad to see the Vikes loose after that beatdown they put on Dallas. I still say that was the most relentless pass rush that I have ever seen.
