This thread is dedicated to the Circle of Life that revolves around us daily.

Life happens before us faster than we can keep up.

Death consumes us far quicker than we are ready to accept it.

Yet, one cannot be without the other. You were born and one day you will die. Benjamain Franklin said "... nothing is certain but Death and Taxes", so we should embrace death just as we embrace life.

Please share your thoughts, experiences, stories, funnies, or conspiracy theories about birth, death, living, and dying.

This thread is in part by the loss of life by a forum member on Evga forum. The member now mourns with the death of his son.

I could never imagine what he's going through right now.

not being an ass
But I better die before my Daughter...
As said I could not imagine the grief of a lose of a child...

Death is inevitable I accept that....I just want it to follow a logical order of first come first served....

Man, I could not imagine losing any of my children. What's the backstory about the guy on EVGA, and how is he holding up?

A few months ago I watched the series "That's impossible", there was an episode on immortality. Quite interesting, some people think that the first people to turn hundreds of years old have already been born. They can already grow bladders in a lab, soon they can grow other body parts too.
Nano technology is another option to stop aging. Cloning is already possible, so it could take a brain transplant every half century to stay alive. Look up the episode.

But how long is a brain expected to live?

I'm sure that within a few decades they can keep it alive far longer than currently possible. Death is not inevitable at all, it won't be in the future anyway. Thinking it is by definition is just narrow minded.

The member's son was involved in a severe car crash 2 weeks ago. After heart stabilization and a collapsed lung he passed on. His intermitten posts between the events got continually shorter and less optomistic. His last post was most difficult to read, he poured his heart out. :(

His grief must be unbearable.

I dont know how someone could turn a horrible situation like this to a positive, but this guy did.

He posted a few days ago that his mourning process will be eased with the fact that his son was a organ donor and has helped save 3 other lives.

Even in death there is life.

BUT... death does need to happen. If we did get to the stage of "immortality" then we would have to cut back on our sex lives. The planet is having a hard time sustaining out current population as it is.
Humans aren't built to live much past 40-50. When we hit that region, our bones start to deteriorate, brain starts to lose function, limbs become brittle and cancer starts to take hold. To postpone those steps is silly and somewhat selfish. Mankind needs to die to allow the future of mankind.

When we get to that stage, it will only be for the rich. By the time it becomes common we'll have a huge moon colony, mars will be terraformed. We might be able to travel beyond the borders of our solar system. Solutions will present itself with every new problem.

Why does death have too happen? We have other planets around here you knows.

Death has to happen, we have no way of reaching these planets and only one is properly viable (Mars). Unless you want to live on Venus where it's hotter than the sun?

Spirit is immortal, we are just using our bodies for moral evolution on this planet (that really s*cks imo).
We came from a pass existence, and we are heading to another.

Embrace the time with your beloveds, relax and enjoy the trip.

You've forgotten extended lifespan already?

If people were able to live an extra 100 years or so travel would seem less hassle.

Time is relative after all.

That is a hole in my arguement, however, I stand by my reasoning. Death HAS to occur to us all.

My husband turns 70 this month and my oldest daughter is having a baby this month.

I'm fightin' that thought about old guys not bein' interested in sex. It ain't easy when you're turnin' 70 and your dad lived to the ripe old age of 74.

Don't worry about us reproducing anymore, okay? I'm 63 and haven't been able to reproduce since I was 40. The sex thing, though ... is gonna continue as long as I have anything to say about it (and can sneak testosterone into his food). (slap)
