I've always found LARP and cosplay people to be total fucking idiots that need real lives. They are on the same level as hardcore WoW fanatics to me.

On a similar note, I've found things like people fanatically watching sports from their couch or a bar stool for 10+ hours a week or play Madden on Xbox or playing fantasy football or getting drunk every other night or whatever could use some "real lives" too. "Why are you fanatic about and rooting for team x, guy?" "Because the team is from my hometown, and when my hometown team wins, I win vicariously and feel better about myself even though I didn't do anything. Duh."
There was a Beauty and the Geek episode where they all did LARPing. The beauties originally said it was stupid, etc, but then afterwards they said they liked it and wanted to do it more.
Heck, some people do Civil War reenactments. That's LARPing. And so is every time someone gets on a theater stage or TV or movie. An acquaintance of mine was into LARPing. I think mostly medieval fighting stuff. We made the typical jokes you get to make when you know someone well enough, but, at the end of the day, if a person finds enjoyment in something, then hey.
And I have to say, after seeing some of the female cosplayers out there, I'll let them cosplay anytime.

Its odd, when someone does something completely different than what the average joe does every day, and its normally welcomed with negative reactions. I do understand your point, the only thing that gets me is that instead of doing such thing, I aim specifically at LARPing [avatar wise] they can be doing something else more worth while than, THAT which also bring gaming into question.

Like I said before. You do realize that video is satirical. Those people weren't actually avatar larpers if such a thing even exists on a notable scale yet.
