Would you rather an Albanian for an American?

There's still several matches yet. If Canada wins their next match, USA and Canada could face each other again.

You state the obvious, though I think Alan Robinson (The AP writer) is Canadian.

It's good to see a nation be so patriotic, it really is.

I think what i meant to say, however, is the level of reporting and journalism these days is declining. The statement i quoted doesn't even make sense, how can you just believe. Believe in what!?!?!?!

This is a trend that i have noticed here in the UK as well, i for one absolutely HATE BBC news on TV. They tell us something, then go over to a correspondent that they've flew to some unknown part of the world to tell us the same thing. I just can't watch the news on TV any more. I want one person to sit there, tell me the NEWS. Not an opinion on the news, not a government spin on the news, i want the facts, the facts said and then move on to the next bit of news.

What i would have liked that statement to say is that the US beat the Canadians 5-3 in an epic game of ice hockey. Something that tells the news, congratulates both sides, and a short sentence in there about how it would be good to see these two sides at it again.

Anyway back on to a more topical discussion, well done to the US team, they seem to be leading the medal board in a predictable fashion.

That's investigative reporting which has been killed by the 24 hour news cycle. If they don't get that rough draft out ASAP, it will be yesterdays news.

USA has generally done horrible at the winter olymics. I don't remember the last time USA won the medal count at the winter games but it has been a very long time (if ever).

Can,t win em all. Congrats to Canada on a well earned medal(toast)

And I think the guys on team USA did better than most expected.

Russia really tanked this time around.
