Porsche unveiled its creation at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It claims the car has a top speed of 320 km/h but uses just three litres of fuel for every 100 kilometres - equivalent to 94 miles per imperial gallon.

Amazing. Me wantz.
So it makes 94mgp, but you have to swap the dead batteries every mile?
And to load up the dead battery, you need to let the Porsche suck on a power outlet for seven weeks? And where do you think that power comes from.
Also, I guess the price on this thing will be gigantonormous, so that only environment-polluting industry-moguls can afford it.
I really don't see the point in a hybrid supercar. Not at this time.

Also if it sounds like a hybrid then the whole thing is ruined. Has to have a good sound.

Where did you read this?

Again...did I miss that part:confused:
And where do you think that power comes from.
The Grid?
The sun?
Wind?
Fusion?
Coal?
Waves?
The outlet?
I give up... Tell me:o

It will be amazing if they can get the handling right. I would imagine a lot of extra weight added to the car. Then again, it's Porsche. They will get it right.

So far, the hybrid cars cause more pollution during manufacturing than a standard cars does throughout it's entire lifetime of "dirtiness".

And your cat produces 3 times more pollution than your Hummer in their respective lifetimes.
Oil is a very limited resource, however. We need to conserve it as best as we can.

Building the hybrid car still uses oil and coal and other natural resources. It's not like they made the all the plants involved in building hybrids green, right down to the power plants.
It hasn't matured enough overall as a tech.

Nowhere, I exaggerated.
No, again, I exaggerated.
The power of that outlet could come *gasp* from a nucular powar plant:eek:
All I'm saying is, they should focus on maturing the hybrid motor, instead of playing around and planting it in cars where it doesn't belong.

I dunno the claims may be fluffed up but form the looks of it, I like it. From the performance specs, I like it. And from the economy, I like it.
the different driving modes sound interesting. I just worry that it's entirely a programmign approach. While great on paper programming approaches have problems with actual functionality.

Looks nice but green cars are a load of crap. As previously stated they cause more harm to produce than normal cars, didn't Top Gear test a Prius against an M5 and the M5 got better MPG?
Here the Prius comes in a 1.8L and is €25,900 ($35,546), I'd rather have something that looks nice if I'm paying €26,000 for a car. I like the new Renault Mégane, that's like €20,000 and is has the same 0-60, a faster top speed and a smaller engine.

Better have fun while it last I say(toast)
What's a year, or two when you could be plowing down the highway doing 150mph lol.
It's not like we can't make fuel out of Coal for the next 500 years........

Yeah I saw a video of this car from Brian Zuk and I like it to say the least. It sounds good too.
