Went to a DJ shop in town, they didn't have them in stock so I wasted like 2 hours and €4.40 on the bus, he said they just sold out of them and they'd be back in Monday. The other day I posted on an Irish forum if there was anywhere to try DJ equipment, someone posted about a business in an industrial park near me, I called them up and asked when they closed and I had time so I rushed over there, it's in a very handy location.

They basically have a load of DJ equipment on display for you to use, ranging from the Pioneer CDJ400 (€650 per unit) to the CDJ2000 (€1,700 per unit) and laptop setups like the Numark Omni Control like what I'm getting.

They let you try the product before you buy it, so I got to use them fresh out of the box before I bought them, was a bit overwhelmed when I got to try them on the limited edition Pioneer CDJ 400-K and DJM 400-K. Was the first time using any DJ equipment but it was pretty simple to use, was a bit lost at the music I was mixing though lol.

I'm breaking them in now, very happy with them. Nice and comfortable, good weight too.

Yeah they're very solid, there's a bit of weight in them but they're not too heavy. They're extremely comfortable, they kinda hug your head when you have 1 ear off to monitor because of a swivel design.

I think I'm gonna go to that shop again and spend a while there and get a good hands on with the equipment, I'm gonna call them tomorrow and ask can I bring some of my CD-Rs because I didn't know the songs they had playing so couldn't really get to grips with the effects on the mixer. I'm also gonna check out the computer controller while I'm there and check out their studio monitors.

I used to like stuff like that But having your ear ripped off and having your Tympanic membrane perforated and then replaced makes such things horrid

Such a shame to I bet those sound so nice

Buzz Killington: Stewie, do you know why W.S. Gilbert was frequently drunk on his trans-Atlantic crossings?
Stewie: No.
Buzz Killington: Because he was quartered on the port side. (chuckles) Now that I've got you, let's both revisit the birth of the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company.
