lol, I was there once. Took a right off the highway exit and soon locked my doors and realized I probably shouldn't be going that way. Turned around, and things looked at least a little better. Not exactly a place I'd consider a destination spot.

And Milwaukee is the armpit of Wisconsin. At least go to Madison or Green Bay or something. Hell, even Kenosha(? what city around there am I thinking of?) at least has a man-made beach area thing. Illinois has a Six Flags if you like that sort of thing. Dunno if Ohio has one.

One thing I'll say about Illinois, and Chicago in particular. Either they have the best drivers in the world, or the worst, and I'm not sure which.

Vegas Road Trip!

That is being considered... We wanted to go last year but only had 6 days so we went to DC... I think we will have 2 weeks this year...

Hey if anyone goes to OHIO this year go to Cedar Point
If you wanted to break the most Roller coasters ridden in 1 day record you would only need to ride 3 more than Cedar point has...

Plus every Coaster they have either has the world record for something or is now second...It is seriously the best Amusement park in the US if you like rides if you like attractions I think Disney and Universal are tied IMO

I'm not just saying this because I live here, but Florida is a great place to visit. I'm not sure what you're into, but Florida has everything, especially outdoors related. Fishing, hunting, boating. There are also great cities like Miami if you want to visit a metropolis. The inland of Florida is more boring for some people but I enjoy as I am one who enjoys his outdoor activities. Florida has a diverse scenery. There are beaches but also swamps, pastures, and cities. There are a lot of rivers that are good for canoeing. And of course, Florida has many great beaches (assuming you are into that kind of stuff). I live 5 minutes from a place called Siesta Key. Siesta Key is a great place with a beautiful beach. Many wealthy and famous people have homes there because of it's beauty. You can also go down to the Keys and rent a beach house down there. The Keys are very relaxed places and most of the people there are the same way.

Hope that helped :)

Edit: Forgot to mention Orlando, home to SeaWorld, DisneyWorld, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Really cool place.

The southern part of Florida can be funny. My friend lived around there and said for either Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, (I forget which, not that they are far apart), that she felt like an outcast because she doesn't speak Spanish.

Even more amusing is on Hulk Hogan's reality show he moved his family to Miami, started checking around the area looking for a gym, and then point-blank said, "Does anyone around here speak English?" :p

Yeah Miami has a very high percentage of Spanish-speaking citizens (and non-citizens...).

If you like canoeing and will be in Branden, look up the Peace River. I live near Branden and the Peace River is awesome canoeing. I just went canoeing there over spring break last week (not my first time though). The river runs through a few towns and leads eventually to the ocean. But the river is so pristine and isolated. It's very scenic and the scenery changes a lot so you don't get bored. Lots of birds, gators, fish, cows, hogs. We usually put our canoes in at a little town called Zolfo Springs at the boat ramp. We start there and go up the river and stop at a different boat ramp. That trip takes us two days so we camp overnight somewhere on the side of the river. Not well known, as we hardly ever see people on the river along with us. Fun at the same time. You also get to see the best parts of Florida.

Gators + Canoe = HELL NO.

Only if you're a pussy about it. They sit up on the banks and when you go by they either sit there or they slip underwater and don't come back up until you're gone. They aren't like that.

If you want to go white water rafting sure lol.

IMO, the Peace River is one of the best of Florida. If you go to the right spots, it's so untouched and pristine. It's quite less known by anyone but the locals.
