I bought a nokia 5800 yesterday with a busted screen for £20,bargain considering its only about £25 for a new screen from ebay.

Fixed battery,no flash support coz apple dont want to pay money to adobe,and no mem card slot=fail

The nokia 5800 is just as complicated,it has gps,wi-fi,and video recording(which the iphone does not have)

Do you have a iphone?

Is it touchscreen i thought if the screen was bugged it woudnt work?

Yep sure do best phone ive ever had so happy my old Nokia died a horrible death at Brighton beach.

It is touch screen ya.Its the inner lcd display screen that is bust.

Dont go swimming with it thats how my old Nokia died. Realised afrer i got out the water it was in my pocket hoped it would work after i let it dry alas no :D

It also has a lot less available app than the iPhone. ;)

Sorry but i just do not like the i phone.

basically,no flash support,no video recording,no removable battery and no mem card slot.So unless you can afford the 32gb one you are stuck with however much storage it has.

Look at the new htc 4g phone coming too,its very nice.

Iphone does have video recording and i got 16 gig with my one wich i think is pretty good. And as much as yeah no flash Safari still does a great job rendering pages very fast. But ofcourse this aint going nowhere i like my phone very much easily the best phone ive had but i realise it aint for everyone.

iPhone isn't a bad phone, it's just over priced here. It seems to work out well in the US with their contracts, but we're more pay as you go over here, the iPhone just doesn't have €300 worth of phone in it, you can get phones with similar functions for less. 3G, WiFi, GPS etc.

I do wish my iPod could make calls and send texts though lol It's one of the better user interfaces I've used.

I tested the nokia 5800 today with both a vodafone sim and a o2 sim,both times i rang it and it rang.So it seems it does work and is unlocked,i just need a new screen which are £22 from ebay.So the nokia 5800 will end up costing me £42 quid..bargain.

At that price you can't really compare phones, £42 is a steal. I'd take one for that price but I'm holding out on buying a new phone for awhile, waiting to see what Android phones come out here.

Cant you use Skype? ive heard that works with the Itouch.

Every kind of touchscreen phone sucks. I don't know how people do it but I have wide thumbs so whenever I am using any touchscreen phone it takes me like 4 taps for it to register.

Me too. iPhone does not have this problem.

The iphone screen is capacitive,most others are resistive.

Yeah I've used my friend's iTouch a few times and it's okay but any other touchscreen phone I have used sucks ass through a straw.

Me too. iPhone does not have this problem.

I have the biggest hands out of anyone I know and I don't have much trouble using my iPod touch, I misspell some words when typing in portrait sometimes, but auto correct helps that :)

I guess it depends on the interface as well as the screen size. A small screen wouldn't be that bad with a good UI.
