I'm most likely gonna buy this MP3 player soon, do you recommend it? I'm looking for a good quality 16GB mp3 not to costy and this one seems to do it. How's the build quality and the sound, does it have an EQ?

It is a nice MP3 player. Best sound in an MP3 player to date called DSNe. The headphones are nice as hell too! They're ear buds but sound fabulous! It has many options in the EQ like "Street Mode" or "Clarity" which is kinda cool.
There are packs you can get which change the menu layout.
But it is nothing like the iPod Touch app wise. But you can sync it with anything Bluetooth, use it as your phone or transfer files back in forth between your computer or whatever.
It really is a nice music player. Video's also come up clear as well, with I think 4 different resolutions you can play them at.

Cool, thanks man.

But yeah I don't expect it to be an Ipod touch, layout and app wise, but frankly I couldn't care less. This will be for music and videos. I won't go pay 2x the price of this one just to have some iFart application on it, you know :P

04-08-2009, 12:51 AM
No problem! Thats what I'm here for :)
lol iFart XD If you can, I'd say go for the P3 if you can find it...I'm still searching to find more about it. Has a lot more eye candy
Edit: http://www.everythingusb.com/samsung-yp-p3-16329.html looks to have been released...

Olithereal

Ya, I was looking for it too, but I'm most likely gonna buy a new mp3 this Tuesday, so if I can't find it, the P2 will be it!

Also, I never bought any touch screen mp3 players, is the screen pretty durable or will I have to RMA/change it in a few months? :D

Srry for all these questions but at this price I just don't want to go wrong.

Also, the Zune seems pretty nice but I heard the sound isnt fantastic and that you need some application to put music in it so you can't use it as an external hard drive.

A Cheese Danish
04-08-2009, 01:05 AM
I hear ya. I've dropped mine a few times with no problems and its in an aluminum casing.
Mine did get a dent in it somehow but it didn't cause any problems whatsoever.
Don't know too much about sound and stuff for the Zune, but I know if you can get a great deal on it then do it.

qft

i just installed it on my newly refurbished Sansa e260

what a great piece of firmware. i will never go w/o it from now on. even if i have to buy older players for compatibility. it just makes everything about the player so much better

makes me wonder why mp3 makers don't do this to begin with. i guess they figure why give you ALL that at once when they can just make little (or no) changed over time

this is truly great stuff :D

is it an e200 series? by connector do you mean usb or headphone jack? i know at a couple of forums they have fixes for headphone jack issues with the e200 series

so if its the headphone jack, check it out. might be a simple fix

Currently and still ranked #1 for sound quality on the market for any PMP/MP3/MP4 player...
Creative Zen X-Fi 16GB +32GB microSD Card (and to the above poster, they do not make a 2GB version, only 8GB (non-Wifi), 16GB and 32GB.

Old thread is really old, but I'm posting anyways.

32GB iPod Touch (3rd gen.) with a mirrored screen protector, acrylic case, and some Sony "Sweet Little Buds" (lawl) that do in fact sound very sweet for the $5 I paid for them. I'm not pro-Apple by any means, but the iTouch's slick interface, thousands of apps, on-device iTunes store, and the best handheld web browser interface out there, imo, drew me in to fork out the dough. So far it has been worth it, I use the little guy every day from anything from taking notes to listening to podcasts to reading comics (XComics is amazing and makes me want to get an iPad).

http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/7731/dsc0004bm.jpg

Need to replace that screen protector, it got a gash in it a few weeks back. Doesn't affect anything but you can surely feel it.

My MP3 player is called Univac

It has an Intel Core i5 750 @ 4ghz
4gb of dual channel Kingston HyperX at 2000
a Gigabyte P55 motherboard
a 4890 for stunning video play back
an X-Fi audio processor for intense audio insanity
and a quick SSD for extremely fast load times.

Plays MP3s like a boss, but i would rather it play FLAC instead.

No really, me and MM share a pink Zune but id rather listen to music on my PC cause MP3 makes me cringe sometimes.
