Picked this little beauty up last Friday. The owner thought that it had a blown head gasket, so did I come to think of it, but it was simply a coil pack that had come unplugged, causing it to run on only 4 cylinders and smoke due to the gasoline being dumped into the hot exhaust.

Just got it completely running and detailed tonight. Sorry for the crummy pics, but I had limited space and lighting, will get better pics and exhaust clips tomorrow. So, this is what I got...

1996 Mustang GT 4.6L 5 speed
Ford Racing clutch
3.55 Gears in a traction-lok rearend
Short throw shifter
Unknown Brand cat back exhaust

Needed:
A/C Charged
Idler Pulley
Belt
Cleaning
CD player (Not needed, but tape decks blow)

Still Needs:
Passenger Kick Panel
Passenger door handle

Price = $1500

Oh God. Don't ever scratch that car. lol. It's damn near impossible to match properly, and the paint is expensive (at least it used to be a few years ago). It's a multi-stage paint job.

I had a Fire mist red Cadillac a few years back that was just like that. $360 per quart and it was a multi stage. I intend to keep this sucker as pristine as possible, but someone has already tried to touch up a scratch.....

Yep. You can tell right away, can't you? Always hated that color as a mech. lol.

Yes, yes you can. The passenger side door has been changed and the bottom ground effect is scraped up pretty badly. Fortunately they found a laser red door off from a v6 stang and put it on, so you can barely tell.

The mods are good on it, I am getting about a 6 second 0-60 and I wasn't even trying that hard so I don't need any more power than that. I just need better speakers, maybe an amp/sub. I do have an Evap malfunction code, but I am sure that it's a broke vacuum line somewhere since they are all brittle as hell.

Thanks for the offer though, if I think of anything, you will be the first that I ask.

Very nice find you picked up there. My buddy just picked up a similar car yesterday. His is a 98 Mustang. Same motor but not quite as good shape as yours. His is white w/ blk interior. Needs some body work to pop out some dings and needs some of the ground effects replaced. Well worth the 1500 bucks he payed for it. It was a stolen recovery car from Cali. Its always good to know people that own towing / recking yards.
EDIT: I actualy think his is the 3.8L now that I am thinking about it.
