Just noticed that when using Chrome I can't do anything except play any video shown here with the [ yt] tags. Picture of video shows up as normal, but clicking anywhere doesn't work. I wouldn't be able to pause or stop the video without navigating away from the page.

Uh...did you install Adobe Flash plugin for Mozilla? You need to.

Type chrome:plugins in the address bar and look for "Shockwave Flash" from the list of installed plugins to see if it's already installed.

I get them, but if someone doesn't type the tag properly it's just a blank square.

It is there. Btw I made an error in my first post. I can play them but after pressing the > button I can't pause or stop the video. I'd have to navigate away from the page. Which is a pain in the crazy youtube thread since I can't stop a video and watch another.

Do you have ad-block enabled? That can prohibit videos from playing.

No,

I wonder if there are any Chrome users here who have the same problem.
Just yesterday I noticed it's not specific to this forum - embedded youtube videos also play up (pun not intended) on other sites like facebook etc...

I personally do not.

I personally do not.

That clarifies the problem was with my own setup, and not with Chrome as such. Thanks (toast)

I gave up on Chrome...

maybe after a few years it'll be alright but for now I just don't like it's basic simplicity

Chrome works fine for me and every other computer I've used it on. So, no complaints : )

Been using Chrome for quite a while, tried some other variant of it, all of them worked great. It did have issues with IE only things a while back, but thats been cured.
