View Full Version : Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. gets more stupid (if that were possible)

While Pacquiao's wrapping up his promotion of his fight with Margarito (who incidentally, "Money" avoided fighting before as well), he went on a tirade on Pacquiao through a live streaming. We're not really angry at what he said though, but rather just tired that all he can do is spout some sh*t and make himself stupid. Pacquiao himself notes that it's an "uneducated message" from Floyd.
Ask Manny to make sushi? It's like asking an American who has no Mexican roots nor influenced by anything Mexican to make tacos!
Restate, once again, that Manny's taking some "power pellets"? Nice move there, considering that there's a case PENDING against you. LOL
Many boxing analysts are in agreement that instead of "bringing down" Pacquiao, all he did was make himself more of a coward and even more stupid (if that were possible). And he was even proud that he's taking a one-year vacation, lol

Boxing isn't what it used to be, before it was a fucking good fight in the ring, now it's a squabble outside of it.

Agreed, although it has more to do with the weights too. The "heavier" ones get more publicity, while the lighter ones not much, unless you're a dedicated fan. Hence the squabbles among the "bigger" boxers can more attention.
Most of our great boxers are in the lighter weights. Pacquiao's the "heaviest" great we have. Pancho Villa and Flash Elorde were featherweights in their prime (or in Pancho Villa's case, by the time he was in his early 20s). Other talented fighters of ours like Donaire, Nietes, Sonsona, Viloria are 140 lbs or lighter, as well as other title holders like Penalosa.

Honestly I prefer the light weights, see more of a fight in those matches.

Well that's understandable. Hand speed is high, movement is usually fast, and they can punch multiple times in all of the rounds (unless of course they're a counter-puncher).

Pfft. I can't remember the last fight I watched that ended in a knockout. It's all dancing and decisions. Failsauce.

Most probably looking at the wrong fights though. Donaire and Pacquiao knocked out all but one of their last 5 opponents (Concepcion - who was 4 lbs over the limit - and Clottey respectively).

Could feed them into the UFC. j/k j/k
Actually the main reason i watch UFC over boxer is because the fighters tend to have more respect for each other usually. That sadly seems to be changing with time though.

I admit Idon't follow the sport regularly. Maybe just bad timing on when I watch. Maybe I'm cursed. :p

Judging by the last UFC, that wouldn't go so well. But was anyone really surprised at the outcome? Didn't think so.
The big-money boxers and UFC guys take some cues from pro wrestlers. Which is not only why Mayweather did a great job during Wrestlemania the other year, but also partly why Brock Lesnar is such a huge moneymaker for UFC. Brock gave the UFC fans a heel to boo, and they ate it up like marks. They hated him, and so they bought the PPVs in record numbers to see him get his ass kicked. Sucks for them that he really is a great fighter.
