So, I got news the other day that my ship date for the USMC has been moved up to December 13th. Less than two and a half months away. I know nobody probably cares, but I've had several threads referencing it, and didn't want to dig one of those back up. Just thought I'd update the few who know or care. And also to rub it in ProgressiveTokyo's face. Yes, I am joining the Marine Corps. :p(toast)

Also, since it's getting so close so fast, I'm trying to glean all the knowlege I can in the short time I have, from any source possible. So anybody who is or was in any kind of military have any wise words for me?

Nice! 0311 is the same as armys 11B infantry, good luck! if you have any questions, feel free to ask

I know it's a small token to give a thank you on a forum, but seriously I can't click that button enough for you. I never made my way into the Marines, I wasn't dedicated enough to finish my schooling in time and when I did I was far too old when it caught up to me. It's my only regret in life.

I wanted 0311 as well, thought I'd be good at it. My four years would have been up just at the invasion of Iraq, so I would have gotten bonus years.
