“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” -- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Good luck with that with the blatantly-racist Democrats in charge, Doc.

You may recall me mentioning how Republicans have done far more for civil rights than Democrats ever have. Here you go. Bookmark it for future use.

http://www.black-and-right.com/the-democrat-race-lie/

This is the kind of BS spewed by Democrats on a daily basis, and unfortunately the media and other so-called watchdogs are so apparently ignorant of American history, Democrats continue to LIE through their teeth to their constituents, and via academia, to our kids. Despite the truth being out there for years, it’s probably not going to explode until some big shot news anchor gives us an “explosive expose” bringing us all those facts first, so he/she can proudly receive a Pulitzer…

(wayyyy too many FACTS from the link to quote)

...........
And let’s not forget the words of liberal icon Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood…

We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population….

So the next time any Democrat claims they’ve been supportive of civil rights in America (and been so all along), ask them to explain their past. “We’ve grown” is not gonna cut it, considering they continue to lie about their past to this day.

And I’m tired of the recitation that Southern Democrats became racist Republicans and took those tendencies with them. Even today, it never takes long for a Democrat to play the race card purely for political advantage.

Sorry I really am but uhm
This is stupid
Go ahead and keep trying to rewrite history..

Maybe at some point people will actually be dumb enough to believe it.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Lyndon B.Johnson, Barrack Obama hmmm all democrats along with the man you quoted They all had quite a lot to do with civil rights in this country...

But what your thinking about can easily be answered by what happened in 1964 Starting with this man..

James Strom Thurmond (December 5, 1902 – June 26, 2003) was an American politician who served as the 103rd Governor of South Carolina and as a United States Senator. He also ran for the Presidency of the United States in 1948 as the segregationist States Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrat) candidate, receiving 2.4% of the popular vote and 39 electoral votes. Thurmond later represented South Carolina in the United States Senate from 1954 to April 1956 and November 1956 to January 2003, at first as a Democrat and after 1964 as a Republican, switching parties as the conservative base shifted.

As you see the Racist side of the Dems actually switched sides to join the Republicans Thus where people get the idea that Republicans are Racist...Now we all know it's not entirely true. Don't we...

Here is something about Byrd
Byrd joined with other Southern and border-state Democrats to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1964, personally filibustering the bill for 14 hours, a move he later said he regretted. Despite an 83-day filibuster in the Senate, both parties in Congress voted overwhelmingly in favor of the Act, and President Johnson signed the bill into law.Byrd also opposed the Voting Rights Act of 1965 but voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1968. In 2005, Byrd told The Washington Post that his membership in the Baptist church led to a change in his views. In the opinion of one reviewer, Byrd, like other Southern and border-state Democrats, came to realize that he would have to temper "his blatantly segregationist views" and move to the Democratic Party mainstream if he wanted to play a role nationally.

Because of his opposition to desegregation, Byrd was a member of the wing of the Democratic Party that opposed desegregation and civil rights imposed by the federal government. However, despite his early career in the KKK, Byrd was linked to such senators as John C. Stennis, J. William Fulbright and George Smathers, who based their segregationist positions on their view of states' rights in contrast to senators like James Eastland, who held a reputation as a committed racist.

I'm going to quote the guy in my first post now.
"So the next time any Democrat claims they’ve been supportive of civil rights in America (and been so all along), ask them to explain their past. “We’ve grown” is not gonna cut it...."

What you quoted is along the same lines. Byrd was indeed racist/anti-civil rights/however someone wants to put it, and then he says he changed his mind. That's great that he changed his mind, but he still was what he once was. He still filibustered that 1964 bill. This is part of what I'm talking about.

"And I’m tired of the recitation that Southern Democrats became racist Republicans and took those tendencies with them. Even today, it never takes long for a Democrat to play the race card purely for political advantage."

The blatantly-racist Congressional Black Caucus has had four Republican members since 1969. There's another example.

If Democrats want to say their party is the party of civil rights since 196x, I would have less of a problem with that. But that's not what they say.

Really surprised you had the... I'll say it... balls, to put Al Sharpton in your list. That guy is a piece of work. :D

lol if you're going to do a conspiracy theory do it right. it's a known fact that the neo nazi's and skinheads typically vote blue. so there's your conspiracy theory right there.........

the trouble is they do it to prove thigns wrong, ie many racist extremist voted for Obama to prove that a black man would fail in office.
