I say their best was definitely Kill 'Em All. Anything after Cliff died just doesn't have the same feel. Listening to Orion and For Whom The Bell Tolls reminds me of that. As for the actual song of Master of Puppets... not a fan. Highly overrated. Just like Kirk.

I was referring to the album, not the song in particular. I mean, you just mentioned Orion, for example, which is from the album. Kill 'em All was their most thrashy and fast paced album, with some really kick ass riffs, but it did not have as much raw talent behind it in terms of playing, composition, and song writing. Lightning was also very good, talent was up and so was song writing, but I feel it was still a small notch below Puppets.

And despite a different feel, I think Justice is a very good album. It's (understandably) a lot darker than their prior stuff. They were still coping with their loss, and it really showed in the feel of the album. I tend to like dark material like that tho.

You won't get an argument out of me over that, tho I think Kirk is a pretty cool guy. I actually met him, and he was pretty down to earth and nice. Lars is a complete tool, and the single-handed destroyer of the band. Well, that and the fact that Jame's voice has bit the dust. They need to retire.

Ever since I saw Five Finger Death Punch on Tuesday at Mayhem Fest, I have fallen in love with their music. I listened to them before I saw them at Mayhem, but not as much as I do now.

They aren't doing anything for me. It's hard to explain, but it's a step above most generic music, but is still heavily generic. I wouldn't automatically change the station if they were playing, but I wouldn't give them any second thoughts either.

You obviously view music differently than I do.

It also goes beyond the music as well. They have great support for their country (US of course) and for our troops. They put their own lives in danger in order to do a much-welcomed tour in Iraq for the soldiers stationed there. They also have a few songs written dedicated to the Armed Forces of our country.

I applaud their support of our troops. Like I said, I don't think they're terrible, I just don't think they're that good either. I'm just not impressed by their music. It doesn't really stand out in any way.
