How is it? I always liked his style. No bullshit.

A lot different in sound from his other stuff. The lyrics are still there for the most part, but nothing is hard hitting and it seems like instrumental tracks have more inspiration from other genres than actual hip-hop. Some songs are all about himself and how he's made it, which is pretty vain. A forgettable album overall IMO, with no real stand-out song. A bunch of the songs have featured singers, which seems to be a trend with many new albums (almost every song on Plastic Beach by Gorillaz ft.'d someone else).


I listened to The King of Limbs right after it by Radiohead, and that shit was weird. Half spastic jams which are downright irritating (to me) and half smooth, chilled music.

That being said, there aren't that many covers that are good, other than Hendrix's Watchtower, and a few that Cash did. I try to forget GnR's Knockin' on Heaven's Door, and (brace yourself) Clapton's version doesn't strike the same cord with me as the original.

Also, the stereotypical voice that everyone remembers from the earlier albums is gone by 1976's Blood on the Tracks. I mean really, who doesn't like the Wilbury's song Tweeter and the Monkeyman?
