So this is my current sticky situation, a girl I know likes me, my friend told me and is now practically begging me to text her. I have no interest in the girl whatsoever, she's quite boring to talk to and I don't feel anything between us. I don't want to text her because it would probably get her hopes up. The last thing I want is for someone to think I like them when I don't, I was really close with a girl and it turned out she didn't like me, it's a crap feeling and I don't want to do it to someone. If I did text her and if she did ask me out, I can't say no without looking like a prick :(

I can't see myself talking to her on the phone all night or having long conversations and yet I'm the bad guy for not wanting to go out of my way to talk to her, even though I don't like her. I can talk to her when I'm in college, just think how it would look if I went to the trouble to get her number and text her on a Friday night.

Unlike everyone around me, I don't see the point in getting in a relationship if it doesn't mean anything and my friend begging me to talk to her isn't fair on me. It's not fair if I get her hopes up and go off with someone else.

What do you guys think I should do? How can I get out of this without looking like an ass?

I should also say I'm not really in the mood for a relationship right now since the girl I was close with has done some shit in the past few weeks, I thought we had a little thing going but then she kissed her best friend's crush who is a mutual friend and then went out with our group of friends without me because she wanted to meet up with a guy we saw once last month. I think it's pretty obvious since I'm hurt from finding out things about the girl I love I definitely won't be going out with a girl I have no interest in whatsoever.

I've told my friends who keep asking me, I've made it clear. I'm not gonna tell the one who likes me because she told my friend in trust, I just happened to be there when she was told so she told me. She likes another one of our friends too, but I'm the one who comes up most. soo what i get from this is girl 1 = nice personality but ugly as sin
girl 2 = hot but not the ebst personlity
girl 4 = decent looking and ok personality (the settle for girl)

I only see 2 ways out of your problem...
1 - Come clean. Hell, it's going to hurt her, but it's not physical, you're young and at that age of not giving a f**k about sh!t (or at least, you're supposed to) and, if you were to fake it, in the long run it would hurt her even more. You would end up just creating another emo...or whatever, you would would be considered a douche.
2 - What everybody else said about not dumping her and make her your new "happy times" companion. Unless she's a brat, personality is not an issue, heck, even air-heads are tolerable. And the body, do it with the lights off and use your imagination...pure magic!
