Does anyone here have much experience with scanning 35mm film?
$6 for Walgreens to scan 12-36 exposures at only 1500x1500 is a real kick in the balls.
Interested in prices/hardware/resolutions

I think I saw a 5MP scanner at Costco for about $100. That's twice the 2,225,000 pixels Walgreens is giving you.
I've looked for higher res scanners and they're out there but expensive. Sometimes regular paper scanners will have film/slide adapters. i got one with an old hp scanner but i never used it so I can't say how good it would be. You'd probably need a scanner that could do at leas 1200 dpi non-interpolated though i would guess. Would have to figure it out but i think it's 25.4mm/inch so 1200 dpi should do the job.
