A truck driver contractor in Afghanistan gets kidnapped and buried in a coffin. He is given a lighter for a little light, and a cell phone so he can talk to the kidnapper and make a ransom video and things.

The movie is shot from within the coffin. The only person you ever see is the kidnapped guy. The only light you ever see is from the lighter or the cell phone. This is the entire movie. And it kicks ass.

Wouldn't the lighter burn up all of the oxygen in the coffin and result in the suffocation of the guy?

In real life, yes.

Way to ruin the ending!

(naw, that didn't happen. Or did it?)

Sounds like someone had no money to make a movie and just thought up a way to put a spin on the movie, Phone Booth.

It's way more claustrophobic than that. And the actions of the character(s) are less corny, too.

Phone Booth takes place Around a phone booth. Buried takes place IN a coffin. Yeah, I could make some grumbles about it here and there, but, overall, it's an impressive feat of camerawork, lighting, storytelling, and acting. One review said it pretty well in that, whether you like the movie or not, it's an experience.

This may not sound like a compliment, but it made me feel uncomfortable enough to not want to watch it again any time soon.
