I don't have the double bass pedals hooked up yet because the beaters are too heavy and not felt-tipped. Also there is a slight mounting issue that I have to correct.

The set is fucking amazing. The only thing it cannot do is cymbal choke(most electronic kits cannot), and soon I will remedy that (http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=35465).

This guy wrote a ton of info on electronic drums, how to build them, mod them, etc.

Anyways, I have an old rock band drum set, and the toms and cymbals are built just like a real electronic drum set is for the most part, just of a lesser quality, but they are still decently rugged. What I'm going to do is follow that guide and mod the rock band cymbals to be chokeable. Viola! :) You can see the rockband cymbals next to my doublebass pedals in a couple of the pictures above.

Oh, and here is a youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4D8n6eCSbI) of some kid playing on his DM6, he's not the best but he's good enough to showcase the DM6's amazing sound and response.

What I like most about the drums is that they are velocity sensitive unlike the cheap kits. Which means if you hit them soft you get a soft sound, and if you hit them harder it sounds louder, very realistic.

This kit sounds absolutely amazing.

I see no pictures, except a stock shoomery hotlink pic.

I prefer hybrid kits, with the emphasis on the regular drums and cymbals, and edrums mixed in for variety.

Gah. I guess I'm going to have to upload that stuff here.

You should still check out the youtube video of that kid playing on one(from my first post). It sounds really good, and it's sensitive and accurate.

I know. I've messed with some Alessis stuff. I just prefer the feel of normal drums, and especially symbols. I like electronics as a means to add sounds normal drums can't achieve. Kinda like Danny Carey of Tool. I'm not saying edrums are bad at all.
