The head gasket is surely leaking and I'm quite sure some of the coolant passages are clogged up hard as a rock. Anyone know where there is a cliff that I can legally drive this thing over? (of course I would jump out before it's demise)

Why not just swap a 302 or 350 into it? :D

I'm done with Jeeps. I also forgot to mention that it needs new front axles and a transmission rebuild. Just not worth it anymore. :(

Is it a wrangler?

Jeep = Just Empty Each Pocket

That sucks man. The transmissions are a bitch on the dodge/jeeps. My dad's ram 1500 died and a USED transmission was $1500.

It's a '94 Grand Cherokee w/ V8 and full time 4wd. No 2wd. It hauls ass, but just pisses all over the ground doing it. :ohwell:

Hehe, you ever had to change that little hose that is behind the water pump and goes to the intake? Sucker is a bastard to change. I had to change one, in a parking lot, when it was around 35*F outside.

I wish I wasn't a mechanic. Pulled the bad head today, it's now at the machine shop. New front axles, exhaust manifold are on their way. :\

Heh, I am always glad that I am a mechanic. Just plopped the head back on a 96 Saturn SL1 today. I have learned something though, you don't EVER let your friends know that you can fix cars. Because, ok, all fine doing an easy job for a friend, but then they talk to their friends and pretty soon you have everyone wanting freebies done.

QFT. It's even worse when they find out you can work on cars AND computers. *sigh*

How did the rebuild go erocker?

To bad it wasn't a "real" jeep with the I-6, then it would be time to turn it into a stroker...

any engine with an Inline design is FTW, should have gotten one of them.

ehh, he could drop some diesel heads on it and turn the thing into a powerchoke lol i don't know if your mileage will improve though.
