Buy a 360?

You know I like to make huge threads about very little, so I'll make it short.

Should I buy an XBox 360, yes/no.

FACTS:

- I own a PS2 and a PS3.
- I like realistic racing games
- Especially when I'm able to drive the car I own in real life
- I dislike GT5
- I fell in love with Forza Motorsport
- Forza Motorsport does not run on a PS3
- I do not care about the 360 exclusives
- There's a sale at a local shop: 360 slim + FMS3 + Alan Wake for 299 bucks. (309.84473 USD)

Another thought I had was that if I would own a Xbox, I could always buy the game thats "better", when the 360 and PS3 versions differ.

However yes its 300 bucks and after... unexpected costs... I should think that one through.

I'm a PC player, too, but there are certain genres I prefer playing on a console. And racing games are one of them.

Also my parents never allowed me to have a console as a kid, I had to hide my rented Gameboy... so now as an adult I'm making up for the loss lol.

Forza 3 lol. Well its not limited to racing games. Seeing as the only noteable exclusive titles are FMS and PGR.
But thats why I'm undecided yet. At the moment, it comes down to only Forza. And that Kinect stuff seems a bit like fresh out of Beta to me.

joking aside if i were you i'd see if you could hire one first, then hire the game you want to see/play then make your mind up ;)

It used to be that people played games online a lot longer than they did with consoles..That trend has done a complete turn around and fewer people are playing on PC's everyday.....

I have a 360 and a few Pc's and though I prefer the games on PC for superior control the 360 games are a little more fun after your done with single player modes

As an owner of a PS3, Wii and 360, I can honestly say that my 360 gathers the most dust. PS3 has better exclusives.

I should also add my 360 is pretty much a dust collector I do use it to watch Netflix as Netflix looks best on 360 for some reason
Other than that I basically only use it to play Pacman CE and Guitar Hero...and Forza LOL
the Xbox is good for racing games like Forza and Burnout etc...

I'd also like to add it's nice to play separate tracks that I dl'd for Forza as the Music is gay

No it doesn't. Looks (and sounds) way better on ps3. PS3 gets he highest bitrates.

I got a black wireless one for my pc, but can't get the hang of it -- keyboard & mouse win all the time.

Actually I found the original XBox controller pretty comfortable, and hadn't any problems with the redesign either... However I don't have any long term experience.

Buy a 360 for Forza? No. Forza is not a true sim racing game at all. if you like a simlike arcade racing game the Forza is okay.

The 360 is cool to own though. I own it along with two PS3's and though I feel the PS3 is the better unit the 360 is still great and has a handful of quality games.

The days of 360's better exclusives are past. The PS3 has a better list now, I really don't feel any push for the 360 exclusives, but it's all about what rocks your boat. But games like Little big Planet, GT5 (even if you don't like it), Uncharted and a lot more are awesome.

I don't care about any 360 exclusive except FMS obviously, and maybe Amped, since there is no good Snowboard game on either Sony console (SSX is cool but Backside Method 1440 Double Backflip to Frontside Boardslide <insert epic monster trick here> do get boring. And Shaun Whites sucks.

PS3 has God of War, which is and was my main point of buying a PS3. And it was god damn worth it.

My pS3 has been good to me, even when I accidentaly blocked its air vents it didn't brake down.

Anyways I'll be visiting a friend today who owns the 360 so I can gather some knowledge and first hand experience. 295 CHF for a console including two games is so damn tempting...
