So i have always had issues with money. spending money to be exact.
I finally have money saved up, and its to be used for a expansion of my trading company, but NO i went and blew it on guns.
now im back in the hole by another 1,000 bucks.
And guess what, i doin't have money (because i seemed to spend it), but magically manage to convince myself to go off and buy parts for my truck:mad:
Fuck! I feel like saying.
And it gets better, i have been eyeing up over on the CMP forums those orange Garands and now i want one. no i mean two.
I mean shit two more Garands and some ammo, a bayonet or two and a few ammunition belts, God im so messed up.
I wish i knew how to control my self, and put money towards what i really need to do.
How about shoveling some money into a locked bank account you can't access now, but say in five years? Its pretty common practice where I'm from. It keeps you from spending it, and you know you have money on the side. Just don't throw all cash there, you need some to buy bacon in the meantime.

I have tried, it seem that whenever i get money i manage to spend it.
Like right now i have 200 set aside for the paying off the 1,000 i owe to Amex.
But now i almost bought 198 dollars of ammunition (768 round of Romanian 8mm Mauser.)

hmm... any jobs u got?
Tell your employer to transfer part of your salary to a locked account. That way you don't even have a chance to spend the money.

2. Become an Escort in your off time

Banks and that certain place you're from. I've heard about them.

Then you do know that we absolutely do not use that foreign money to finance our widely operative indoor plantations, right?

Exercise self control and quit spending. I don't feel sorry for you if you're broke, nor should anyone.

its more of a question of how to get self control over it.
its more of a question of how to get self control over it.
Ask yourself if you really need that stuff you're buying. I was obsessed with mobile phones in the early 2000s, and it led me to the point of being almost completely broke. Then I asked myself: Hell, what do I need those devices for anyway. I have X cellphones, and all doing essentially the same. This is not worth it.
Sold the gros (oh look a French word), got back on my feet as much as you can get back at your feet with 15/16. Nowadays I tend to use that gray, wrinkled gooey stuff in my head to actually think about something I want to buy. And don't justify it with reasons like "omg its so awesome I must have it the world depends on it" or "I bet my excessive collection of Shotgun rifles will lead to many vaginas attaching themselves to my pelvis". Well latter might work if your targeted vagina bears the name of Billy Ray Sue or something along those lines, but most women dig cash that is not in barrel form.
Have the same problem as you
What I've done to try change that is opened up another bank account and set up a direct debit to it.
So as soon as I get paid into my current account by my employer at the end of the month a percentage of it goes automatically to a savings account.
If you entrust yourself to voluntarily move your money from one account to another you will end up spending it.

I do have multiple accounts going.
2 checking, 1 savings, 1 stock fund account, and 3 more savings accounts over at ING, and then a Options account, and then Roth IRA.
Despite having gone from a profit of 35,000 per year 2 years ago, my profit margin has shrunk to a mere 10,000 and its bad.
I find my self living paycheck to paycheck, because i can't afford to get anywhere, maybe target is holding me back. Maybe i need to haul more and spend less time working at target.
Maybe i need to just stop spending money and save it up to continue trading futures and options and make more then nickle and dime profits.
Fuck, maybe i should put my CDL A to use and say fuck everything target related, however that management position they are hiring for is keeping me mesmerized .
Stopping to spend money on shit you don't need (even tho its awesome shit) will most likely solve your problem, yes.
Maybe hire a friend to kick you in the nuts everytime you buy something you shouldn't may speed up the process.

Hmm, out of control spending is a bitch. My best friends mom had this problem, it was a form of OCD and depression, buying made her happy, but only for a short time. There are banks and companies that you store your money at and they will deal out an allowance once a month or something, then won't allow you access to it, it may be your best option.
Another option is to get a trustworthy friend or family member to buy a safe that only they know the combination to and store your money there.

My gf is working at Target - has been for a few months - and her store is fucked up. It can really create a lot of tension and then that tension has to be released somehow.
Although I also agree with JC that it could be a symptom of OCD. I used to have bad OCD, but after several years on amphetamines (focalin is best if you try it), the symptoms have largely receded. However I know that in a few months they will probably start to come back again. I can already see it and I've only been off that med for about a month or two.
I've also been on a buying binge lately though, so maybe I'm not as free and clear as I would like to think. I've been getting really OCD about crunching for the TPU WCG team. I'm going to build a new 2600k rig tomorrow when i get the m/b I need and will probably buy another chip once I get the RMA from Asus.
But enough about me.
I support the suggestions made by others about finding a trusted friend to hold your money and give you an allowance. Just make sure they aren't a soft touch so that they won't give in if you whine a little. Tough love bitch! Tough love!
Hopefully your buying is just a symptom of frustration with other things in you life and if you can get those worked out, you will go back to normal.
I would cash in on that CDL license. Yes, it's a tough job especially if you have to go on overnight runs, but the money is sweet - or at least it used to be. It has beat working at Target.

lmao, what target, im down south in Mays Landing. And yea our store is fucked up too, the bosses have their heads in their asses,
But hey, for what i make at target it is almost worth the frustration, between the 11 bucks and hour and guaranteed 40 hours, its not half bad anymore.
i do think that my spending can be cyclic, is it related to work, that i would have to think about.

She's in N. Brunswick but I think her store is the one S. Brunswick, but it could be Kendal Park - not sure - I'll ask.
She's part time since she can't handle a full-time job, but they keep trying to give her more hours. They just demoted her "team leader" back to the loading dock and don't think they've replaced him yet.
I'll have to pay attention the next time she starts speaking Target-ese so I can throw some jargon at you. :D

The TL positions are ok, its a 2-4 dollar an hour raise. But weather or not you want to deal with all of the crap associated with it, thatis up to her, the good side is your guaranteed full time and they will pay for your college you pay but they reimburse you for all classes that you pass in.
Me, im kissing all of my TL's asses, even my ETL im all over, they in return speak favorably to the STL, and im hoping that between that and my "performance" record and hours of service that they will give me the TL position i so desperately need.
Being that i am a Team member, and im swinging 39 hours a week isn't bad, but at 11 bucks an hour ide like the bump to 15.

Well it lasted all of when i ever started this thread to drop 120 bucks on ammo.
And then they brought out some new Surplus Yugo 8mm, for cheap price, i want to buy it cheap and stack it deep.
YAY! blowing my surplus budget on ammo, i hope to someday shoot, pending my house don't burn or we get a massive flood, FML.
To make it worse im doing an inventory check soon, to see what i have already.

Debate with yourself.
Do you need those guns?
Also, if you really need cash and don't mind sacrificing them, first get your mind into a blank state. Then you create an ad somewhere putting up some guns for sale. Try to blank your mind until they're sold. That's what I do when i feel like I've spent to much on computers.
Seems our advices don't get to you.
Stop buying shit you don't need already.
Zombies can also be fought with chainsaws you know.

Or cricket bats.
But that's pretty much what it comes down to. It may sound harsh, but it's something you have to work with.

If you read all the above posts (from you) it should be apparent that you are fully aware of what your problems are. It's time to walk the talk man. Time to do what you know you should do. Asking the peops on this forum for more points of view is not the answer, you are the answer.

I should not be blowing every dime i have, and living paycheck to pay check, Among other things. When you make 1,400 a month at target, and another 1,100 in futures/options trading and your counting the dollars between pay checks something is very wrong.(Net Pay)
Especially when your bills are under 1,000 a month.
If i had sound fiscal morals i would be able to save money somewhere some how.

Get married. When you have to account for your money with someone else it might make you think twice before spending.
Then again you'd probly just get a divorse because she doesn't let you spend your money...
Forget I said anything. I don't want to be blamed for your poor marriage.
