All of the vehicles are now out of date...perfect excuse to get pulled. It's a real PITA getting them all inspected because of everyone's schedules and the kids and so on. 2 bikes and 2 cars...nearest MC inspection is 45 minutes away.

Bitch and Moan :p

And I gotta re-up the insurance on the bikes plus it's time for routine maintenance...

Plus I thought it was Spring..and then I saw some snow today...

Gotta ride though...it's time.

The one good thing our clueless, corrupt govenor did was make all cars pre-1996 exempt from inspection/emissions. Goodbye catalytic converter!

Good thing our state realized it's all a lie, all stickers are. They dropped them a long time ago.

Lucky bastards. Pre 85 here is no emmissions. Everything else is $39.99 per year.

Damn even when we did have it; it was only 5 dollars per year.

Hah! We don't need no stinkin' emissions test!

I don't have emissions, but I do have a safety inspection. I currently drive a 1992 Ford Taurus. Every year it costs me about 600 dollars to keep driving it. I guess that is still cheaper than a car payment.

I am poor...

No checks whatsoever for me! :D Even though it sounds like my car has an exhaust leak...

used tires and DIY brakes. Brake job is one of the easiest jobs on a car, past oilchange and sparkplugs

They are "strict" about having the sticker...but some of cars I see on the road wouldn't pass so there's plenty of shifty inspectors around.

The big thing to have around here is a FARM USE tag which you can buy at any feed store :p I've seen those on some mighty nice 4-door Dualies. No registration, inspection, or county sticker. I'm gonna put one on my old Triumph Bonneville when Iget it running.

Hehe, I have run into a "shifty" inspector before.... My Silverado had a hole in the $300 catalytic converter, so the inspector told me he could 'fix this" for $50. I agreed and he put an S10 on the rack, with my VIN number on the dyno machine.

I know. Hell, I only had the truck for another 6 months anyway. It's probably in a junkyard right now. My parent's motorhome has a 454 with catless exhaust, but since it came like that from the factory, there is nothing they can do about it.

Isn't it a federal law that you need a cat if the car came with one? Yeah, you probably won't have any feds looking under your car, but even if there is no testing, isn't it still supposed to have one?

Had some friends in WI say they got busted for a modified exhaust that wasn't loud because the way the law is written it's just "modified exhaust," so cops have discretion on ANY non-stock exhaust. Ticket was $300 or whatever.

Recently read of a couple people in California who had to remove the gauges in their cars because they were considered illegal modifications. California is messed up....
