Beavis and Butthead return to MTV

Hide the remote: "Beavis and Butt-Head" are back!

On Wednesday, MTV announced its popular cartoon about channel-surfing, heavy-metal-loving high school losers would return to the network this summer.

Created by Office Space director Mike Judge (who voiced both animated idiots), the half-hour comedy ran from 1993-1997 and spawned the 1996 film Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, featuring the voices of Bruce Willis, David Letterman and Demi Moore.

While much of the original show's audience has grown up, B&B 2.0 has at least one young fan.

Sixteen-year-old Justin Bieber, who was just a babe during the show's initial run, tweeted yesterday: "Solid day in NYC. Played hoops and just went to the MTV Upfronts...BEAVIS and BUTTHEAD are coming back!!!"

The graphics was mediocre (I'm speaking like 15 years ago) but the sound effect was.... umm... nice... :)

Oh god, I'd forgotten the voices. According to rolling stone, the director of Office Space, Mike Judge, in addition to being the creator also did both voices.

I saw them for the first time at an animation film festival in NYC when I used to work there. I thought it was hilarious but I never got into the series. It seemed like the same jokes over and over, but I guess that was part of the attraction too. IDK.

I can't wait, I recently got around to watching the first two volumes of the Mike Judge Collection. It's gonna be nice to see something good on MTV for a change, not just Teen Mom, 16 & Pregnant, Jersey Shore and other shows related to being fat and underage pregnancy.

That's actually a mini-game in the game Beavis and Butt-head in Virtual Stupidity. I think there's 2 or 3 others in it, along with a full game. I also liked the original game on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.

I guess it would be cool to finally get the show as a whole.
When I was a kid and B&B was still running on MTV (even where I live imagine that), we didn't really get all the references. We just laughed about everything else.

And MTV Germany was so kind to just put subtitles and not ruin everything by trying to synchronize the show. Actually thats the best about MTV. They don't sync any shows.
