Hi everyone, i just moved, and I need a new phone line for my own.
How do you wire a 2nd phone line to your room from the phone box?
If it's easy I wanna try to do this on my own and save some $$$.

Thanks! :D

its as easy and connecting your phone wires.

In your phone box you will have 2 sets of wires, yellow/brown and blue(green?)/red(im 999999% sure that is the color combination.

Well if you have 1 phone line you just run the wire and connect the same two wires on the one end of the phone and the other to the same color on the box, remember to keep the polarities the same. Ie don't reverse your polarities.

when you splice the end on make sure you have the middle two prongs lines up so for example

{1-1-1-1}=4 wire, so its {L1-L2-L2-L1}
{1-1}=2 wire so its {L1-L1}

just keep them the same

Unless your running a dual channel phone your prongs should be in the middle of the phone connector. If you have a dual channel phone and 2 seperate telephone lines attached to 4 wire then you can call from two different telephone numbers. FTW!

I think it's the dual channel thingy, 2 different phone #, same provider.

I looked at the phonebox, and it's quite confusing, so many wires, but i saw there are 2 RJ-11 heads, 1 unplugged.

Although I've never wired a second phone line I found a website that can help you wire it.
