Excursions are great off roaders too with live axels front and rear. ;)

I just thought about that. Excursions (especially the non-4x4 model) have a low stance and a very wide track. It takes an enormous amount of lateral force to roll one of those things. I'm surprised anyone survived.

I don't know how much it would take with that much weight, those things are already tanks, I'm pretty sure they are over 3 tons dry weight :O

Who's to say it was a stock suspension? If they made a habit of hauling that many illegals, I'm willing to bet it was modified to look normal when loaded.

people hauling illegals rarely think of anything like that. My uncle is in the boarder patrol and if they aren't trying to sneak past a check point virtually no thought goes into the transportation. likely they exceeded the load of the tires on the vehicle and one burst causing the roll over.
