No NBA Finals thread on the bright and shiny new forum? For shame!

Well its a little late, but it looks like The Magic have their backs against the wall. They played better in game 2 but are going to have to build on that momentum if they want to beat the mighty Lakers

I'm thinking The Lakers in 5. Maybe 6.....but as it stands right now i think they can grab a couple more wins in the next few games

Who are you cheering for? Have any bets? Hopes and predictions for next season across the NBA?

Im going for the Lakers in 5 Orlando will win one at home and thats about it and Kobe for mvp. Make up for losing to Boston last season bah go lakers.

hmm... i was thinking the lakers in 5, as well. but i forgot about the 2-3-2 Finals set up. i can't see Orlando winning two in a row as they would have to do in a 2-2-1-1-1 series to make it go beyond five. or "stealing home court" to do the same. but i can see them going 2-1 in three middle games at home

anyway the game is on but i am busy atm so can't watch. DVR ftw later. commercial free :)

Magic should've won 4, I can't believe they let the Lakers take that. There are so many things that if done slightly different the Magic would've won (namely, if Dwight would've hit just one of those free throws (why can't big men ever shoot, what the hell is that)). That makes 2 games they were inches from victory (Lee's last second shot in game 2 was just an inch or 2 off) and they should be up 3-1, only game Lakers have outplayed them so far is game 1. Damn you Magic, don't let Kobe get a ring......

its true, though. close games, games that got away. but thats basketball for you. one of the great things about it. game 4? meh....comes down to making free throws. its like the return of "hack-a-shaq." honestly though, no excuse is good enough for Howard missing not one, but TWO free throws. just one would have most likely won the game

and the same can be said of kobe in game three. he really blew it at the line. but, a win is a win and this laker fan will take it. even if the Magic gives 'em away like candy :)

yeah thats a great pic of the two guys with four rings. gotta give it up for Fisher. not the most talented point gaurd in the game, but four titles can't be wrong. he knows how to get the ball down the court, brings stability to the team on the floor when they need it
