I just bought my new phone

I went for the LG Arena KM900 (http://arena.lgmobile.com/uk/).

Well, it's great - got right what I wanted ie wifi, fm radio, good 5MP camera, video camera, mp3....

Now there's the rest of the stuff which I still have to discover :D

If you wouldn't mind keeping me up on some of your likes and dislikes with it, I'd be appreciative. In the coming months I'm going to be upgrading my phone, and the only phone I don't want is an iPhone. I'd appreciate your input or any quirks you find.

Well what I can say it's very easy to use. It's got a large (for a phone) 3" diam screen and it's comfortable unless one's got really large finger-tips (my own are large-ish for a girl but okay for this LG)

You don't need to carry an mp3 and a camera because your phone's got them.

I think what I dislike so far is that the power button is really small. It prolly wouldn't be a disadvantage but I got the black silicon case and since you need to press that button to get phone out of standby... through the silicon case it's somewhat hard to find.

GPS is cool - it gave me the name of my street, I think it went to google maps through satellite because I didn't connect anywhere and the wifi was switched off?

Haven't checked if gps gave actual bearings though or zoom function... for when I'm out at sea lol since there'd be no street names there and if I lose sight of land I'd be in trouble! :D

I'll update with further posts as I discover more about this little toy...

Edit: btw the resolution is awesome... never seen such graphics on a phone - does it even have pixels lol?

It does, I read it has a 480x800 WVGA screen. Which btw, is insane for a phone. It would seem my biggest issue is that none of the providers officially provide it here. I'd need to buy it unlocked. Doesn't mean I wouldn't were I determined. Thank you for the feedback thus far.

I bought it unlocked too.

From here in Malta it cost €440... :eek:

So I risked it on ebay and got a BNIB phone for €270 :)

Thank you very much for the link. Its nice seeing reviews where everything not Apple isn't immediately dismissed as an iPhone clone. Which is in part one reason I don't want an iPhone.

Also, I think I may have found a good site to base alot of cell phones off of.

Well I must say I'm very satisfied.

What I need to do now is overclock it and play Cryostasis @ 480x800.... :D
