hi all, back from my holidays (4 weeks off) and guess what..

it appears that my BFG GTX280 has died (gfx glitches on screen at boot up) 1 year and 6 days after purchase and even better the estore i bought it from no longer exists and i have no receipt from the order to do a rma to bfg them selves :(

the same thing happened to my 8800GTX it died just out of warranty 1 year ago

and to top it off im sick as a dog and have to start back at work tommorow :(


why me ???

You can try to fix that GTX 280, start a thread on TPU for that. You can try to email BFG and plead your case. If they ask, you can provide them with the product serial number (barcode on the box), which will help them track down to your reseller.

Are those overclocked cards? The only problem I've had (I only buy stock cards) is the fan died on a five year old 9800 Pro. Factory overclocked cards have tons of problems.

the card was a factory OC card, after ripping out the water cooling and going back to air i worked out ive either got a bad stick of ram or most likely a bad ram slot on the mobo, system is running fine with 4 gig and no ram stick in slot 3 ;)


at least its not another $600 fix
