Mussels at Respawn! (450 person LAN)

I figured GN could use a boost to its viewings, so i'm posting this here and not at TPU :D

Respawn (http://www.respawn.com.au/?page=home) is a lan held here in the downunder, with several hundred attendees (http://www.respawn.com.au/?page=events&a=players&event=14).

I know a lot of people going this time, and i've never been before, so i'll be going this year... and will be taking a camera :)

its 10PM here now and i get up to leave at 6am tomorrow. updates (and pics) will likely come in monday night aus time.

Sigh, out of all teh pics i took, many did not come out good. My camera appears to be dying, weird lines are turning up in many pics, and it comes out excessively blurry if the flash isnt on (which is weird, cause it occurs even in really bright areas)

These two came out ok, they're from the rear area of the lan - at the far end of the image you can see the admin table, my PC is just on camera at the far right near there. The screen with the blue image up, raised higher than the rest. Images are grainy because i had to max out contrast and brightness to get a viewable image, camera got confused by the lights.

Small movie file - it was too big for GN, so i upped it to megaupload. Its just a quick pan showing the entire main LAN area.

Same viewpoint, aiming to the side so you can see just how many people there are. There was also a sideroom with about 50 people there, but none of my shots of there came out well.


Lan had free breakfast too - i managed to start a trend with bacon pancakes

It gets noisy when 300 CSS kiddies are screaming hax at each other, lol.
I need to shoop-da-whoop some pics, my camera got confused and they came out rather dark. once thats done, you'll start seeing em appear in post 2.

my bandwidth software claims i downloaded 649.5GB and uploaded 3.34TB... i guess my legal copies of linux isos and home video collection were popular.

PALiT_Guy LOL Found one guy that had his machine totally open one time LOL> So he started sending files, and more files, till it had 1k left lol......

The guy was pissed talking about how he reloaded his machine before he came, and could not understand why he was having all these issues trying to play games lol.....good times

at a previous lan there was a guy called Leet_Haxor... his C: drive was shared with full access. leet_haxor got haxored.

we had bacon, sausages and pancakes. I was the only one brave enough to get bacon pancakes and wrap them around a sausage :D

Heres (http://www.valhalla.net.au/) the website for Valhalla Adelaides biggest LAN parties. If your ever in town id definitly reccomend going to one.
