“So, to recap, in the Land of the Free: if you’re an adult who produces a film using other consenting adults, for the entertainment of still other consenting adults, which merely depicts fictional acts of humiliation and degradation, the DOJ will prosecute you and send you to prison for years. The claim that no real pain was inflicted will be rejected; mere humiliation is enough to make you a criminal.

But if government officials actually subject helpless detainees in their custody to extreme mental abuse, degradation, humiliation and even mock executions long considered “torture” in the entire civilized world, the DOJ will argue that they have acted with perfect legality and, just to be sure, Congress will hand them retroactive immunity for their conduct. That’s how we prioritize criminality and arrange our value system.”

Well, I'm going to leave the prisoners thing alone because quite frankly I don't care.

You might as well link that guys blog up too seeming how the link you provided only uses that quote excerpt as something to argue against.

No way this is legal. He needs to appeal that one all the way up if he has to. Absurd.

Those women were of age, were there of their own choice, and would probably do it again to be honest. These people can do whatever the hell they want to do, it's their minds, pleasures, and bodies.

To be fair, its different contexts. The prisoners are POWs who could reveal where the next big bomb attack is going to happen or something. (Don't bother getting into a huge argument, again I don't care)

The women getting abused (and he does some pretty fucked up shit) is for sexual perversion.

One is argued to save lives and one is argued to get your rocks off to some graphic and fucked up shit.

I agree that a comparison to torture is a little ridiculous. They're not on the same level.

I agree, too. One involves a citizen of a free country doing things with consenting adults, and one does not.

I really thought my country was above this kinda stuff, I really did. I mean, I know that we're more conservative and religious and "moral" in our views...But there's protections for this kind of action. I have faith it will be overturned.
