British hacker Gary McKinnon has lost his latest High Court bid to avoid extradition to the United States.

The US wants to try the 43-year-old, from Wood Green, north London, for what it calls the biggest military computer hack of all time, in 2001 and 2002.

Mr McKinnon admits hacking, but denies it was malicious or that he caused damage costing $800,000 (£487,000).

Whether or not he can appeal to the UK Supreme Court will be decided at a later date, Lord Justice Burnton said.

He said it was a matter which should be dealt with "as expeditiously as possible".

This is absolutely outrageous. You guys (Americans) should be thanking this guy for showing the GIGANTIC holes in your security system. And we (anyone British) should be ashamed of our Govt. for just handing over a person to the states. I can guarantee you that if it was an American doing it to us we would be happy with an apology because our Govt. are a bunch of spineless idiots.

GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Very angry at this country right now :mad:

I agree to a point. Im fascinated with "grey/white hats" personally, and I think its good that the holes were found by someone who had no malcious intent... But i mean really... he was hacking into the US military's systems... if you do that you gotta know youre gonna get fucked.

Commit the crime, do the time.

Uncle Sam will probably let him off easy if he agrees to work for the government. That's usually how it goes.

The act of someone finding holes outside of the organization is considered "malicious." The only way he could get away claiming it not to have "malicious intent" is if he can prove that Uncle Sam hired him to find those holes.

Uncle Sam will give him a place to live and a nice salary with benefits. If he knew what he was really getting he'd be on a plane over here already.
