Brown Recluse bites suck.....

Yeah, I live in the country, in the great state of Texas and I have black widows, brown recluses and scorpions out the ass. I have been bit by a small black widow before... Not that bad, ran fever for a while, was a tad sick and then it left a small scar.

Well, the BR got me 5 days ago. I am not too happy about it. It tagged me on my right knee, directly to the right of my knee cap. Started out with no pain, but after 8 hours, it started itching like a motherfucker. Then it started turning red and swelling.... Then it started causing cramps in the muscles around my knee and up my quadriceps. Then the poison was being filtered by the lymph glands in my groin, so they are enlarged and TENDER.

Now the scab burst and allowed my liquefied flesh to ooze out of the initial bite. Enough to soak two tissues..... I am not a happy person right now....

ouch! I thought i saw one the other day so i like drowned it in raid

i got bit on the inside of my lip by a spider a few years ago and it swelled up to the size of angalina joile's lips

Their venom sucks and there is no anti-venom either..... The only thing a doctor can do is prescribe antibiotics to prevent infection. A crapload more ooze just came out, but the good news is that it's starting to feel better. I think I got the last of the ooze out, so hopefully it will start to heal.

Damn that sucks. I've never gotten bitten by anything poisonous and I sure don't want to find out what it is like. I do have lots of spiders here though...

I hope things are getting better JC. I know the guy from Pekin in this vid. Brown Recluse bites can be nasty.
