That's odd. I mean, one amino acid by itself is useless especially when it isn't in cell. Also, how was that acid formed/created? The idea that life on Earth came via asteroid is fine and dandy but it had to make that evolutionary step somewhere and some how.
It is a discovery, no doubt, but it is only one piece to a 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

Ford is right, it's meaningless on its own. Glycine is just a simple molecule, so it's floating around on a comet? big deal.

What i think is cool though is that the chances of all the correct mollocules been in the right place/time and voila!
