View Full Version : new tubes for ValveKing® 112???

Ive never had to change the tubes on my amps before, so Im not too sure which ones are the best to get - Ive not got so much money at the moment so I was wondering what would be the best set of possibly mid range tubes to get for a peavy VK amp.

Ive seen a lot of ruby 6L6GC's but ive heard a few bad things about them.

can anyone give me advice on which brand to get??

Groove Tubes if you an afford them. Sovteks are what I used when I just needed cheap.

yeah Ive been recommended slovteks 6L6WXTs or something. aparently they used to be used on high end fender amps

I've always used Sovteks, good tubes, I feel.

GTs should be good too.

Yeah, I pretty much always used Sovs, but the GT's are better.
