In short, it sucks. Sorry to hear it my man. Just remember, your parents will likely need all the support you can give them. And don't be too hard on your dad until you hear all sides of the story.

I'm not angry at him at all. Yeah chances are I won't be here when most of it happens.

Just a shame I don't get anything for xmas or my birthday now anyway :( They could have done it when I was 15 and I'd have a dual cpu and dual GPU system :p

Shame you're not American then, you could have sued them for getting divorced too late.

If you saw it coming miles away, then it will probably wind up for the best. I've seen people stay together way longer than they should have and hate each other, and then they get a divorce and are on friendly terms. A big thing will be how spiteful they want to be during the divorce proceedings.

Nah the circumstances before this gives me the idea there will be no friendly terms at all.

Just don't hate either parents for this, or at least hate them equally. Hatred is a resource-hog. Spend more time outside family affairs, but do pitch/chip in, when called for.

My opinion of them is the same as before. I mean they did a good job raising me compared to the rest of the town here. It was always an unhappy marriage the past 5 years and I saw this coming for a few years.
