i dont know if torrenting games is illegal here as 1-no one gets original games on uruguay.2 - piracy games are everywhere, even on a stand in front of the townhall.

My bike alone breaks about 20 laws. That's excluding all the traffic laws I ignore.

Whenever I decide to open up my torrent client (Insert shifty eyed look here).
That only works at home though since the bandwidth at my gran's for torrents is next to nothing (0.1kb/s), I'll have to stop at some point though since I do want to join the police service and that wouldn't make a good black mark to have against my name.

Where I am the speed of traffic typically runs about 5-10mph faster than the limit, so I tend to go faster than that a bit.

I speed like a maniac EVERYWHERE. Consistently 20-25mph over. I lose my license a lot. (and still drive anyway. lol). I have no regard, whatsoever, for the artificially low speed limits they post in my state, and especially my county in particular.

I break laws simultaneously. Sometimes I take my seat belt off just because.

It's a great job..I love meeting new people and helping people as well. You meet alot of good people and some not so good people. Training was rough I went through Ohio State Highway Patrols academy, it was like Marine boot camp times 5. I work for a smaller department right outside of Akron, Ohio. We just got the new dodge chargers to replace our crown vics. It has it's days were you wonder why people do the things they do...and you have days where you know you made someone a better person and helped them. It's a great job but only certain people could handle it..very political and people test you e everyday.

"Outside of Akron" doesn't tell me the town. Was just curious, as I'm familiar with the area.

I think it is next to impossible not to break the law if you get to picky about the laws out there. Especially when adding in the outdated city ordinances. One example is the fact that it is against the law to spit on a sidewalk in my city. It's not enforced but it is there nonetheless. So anyone spitting on a sidewalk is breaking the law then. So yeah, I probably break the law on a daily basis especially since I make it a point to go five miles per hour over any speed limit. :p

"Everyday" is the key. I can't imagine people are breaking many laws when they're bed ridden for a few days due to illness.

Have you been through Marine bootcamp? I mean I'm not saying it wasn't tough, but at the end of the day you get to go home and relax and enjoy whatever it is you like doing, instead of being stuck in a hell hole for a few weeks.

How's it a loophole? Torrent technology (and P2P in general) is no different from FTP and HTTP in that they means of delivering content over networks. This is the same argument as guns. People kill people, guns are just the instrument used to do the deed. Likewise, torrents aren't going to distribute illegal software without people telling it to.

If that statement was sarcastic, then nevermind. :þ

I break the law every day with a passion. But.. there are those roads and parts of town you need to grow eyes in the back of your skull or the cops will fuk you over. My town is a speed trap and the cops are dicks.. maybe not all of em.. but i haven't met a good one yet..

Wile E
05-29-2009, 06:35 AM
Pennsylvania has some good ones, too.

"Any motorist who sights a team of horses coming toward him must pull well off the road, cover his car with a blanket or canvas that blends with the countryside, and let the horses pass."

That actually goes on further in the books. If, while the horses are passing, they become spooked from your car, you must dismantle your car, piece by piece, until the horses are no longer afraid of it, and finally pass.

FordGT90Concept
05-29-2009, 07:06 AM
Nice. That was back from the early 1900's when cars were rare and roads were dirt. Looks like the legislatures were paranoid of the automobile. XD
